What Batteries?

Hi All,

Mod's Enroute - Atties Enroute Now all i need to order is batteries & a charger, but what to go for? AW or Efest im starting off using mod at 18350 also going to get 18490/50, any suggestions? I know some of it will be personal pref but need a good start if you know what i mean - Cheers Everyone

The Mod's have just arrived :-) Stingray & GP Paps (MVAPES) Wow!! Quailty is excellent!! :-)

So i take it i will be alright with either AW or Efest then? I best some ordered then so i can get these Mod's fired up when my Atties arrive? Any advice on charger? I guess as long as its a decent one hey?

With them being mechs make sure you use protected batterys

I would be getting protected batteries as in AW IMR or EFEST IMR, as far as i can tell they are safer chemistry etc! Most of the questions asked about batteries are by vapers moving over to mech mods from ego's, spinners or vv/vw mods (me being one of them). I have scoured the forum regarding batteries and it more about getting reassurance that im buying the right thing. Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply to me

try Torchy on ukvapers lee. or ecolux on ebay. Both good vendors I've used many times. I use a Nitecore charger with no problems. You will find you spend more on batteries than on the mods, but it's the way it works.
Just don't try sub ohming without further advice.

I've an Efest Luc that I'm very happy with, although earlier models had overcharging issues I understand:

I use AW's/Efests in mechanical Mods quite happily.

I would get Sony VTC with a mech: quality batteries, good value, quick to charge if you have a fast charger, good capacity, very high Amp limit so if you accidental fire your mod by it rolling under the cushion on the sofa you will not cause your battery to vent (unless you have a serious hard short), and if they did vent not nearly as bad as if a ICR (most protected batts are ICR). AW, Panasonic & Torchy are the only other batteries I would buy, Efest: I have 11 and am unlikely to get any more, they are OK but IMO they have let the quality control slip in the last year or two.

If you go for AW only buy from authorised dealer as there are a lot of fakes.

Good point, my bad.  Then I would say either AW IMR or the Sibeile 10A IMR 18350 from Torchy would be my choice.

Can't go wrong with Torchy IMO, he's a top top bloke and highly recommended
