Hi Peeps. Cribbed this off another forum. How to make your micro coils, even with `shaky` hand control. Brilliant design ,looks like we could copy this. Hope this solves some of your problems.

Actually mine has the advantage of turning the coil so you can put as much tension on as you want .

IIRC the rod (2.25 mm) was a coat hanger and the retainer is a small paper clip, you can make so many useful thing form bit lying around.

Ideally you need to put a lot of tension on the wire to cut out the need for heating, also coiling a second time is even better: you wind the coil onto another rod the same size starting on the inside of one of the legs, I tried to mak a quick photo but it's not that clear, on the left is the original coil (the other leg has wound around the outside, it was the coil from my last pic), the arrow is the direction the kanthal is being wound & on the right is the tighter coil. I always put a couple of spare turns on each end that get unwound.

The downside of this coiler is, you are limited to the one size coil but that does not take anything away from the innovation. The first vid here is a ready made coil winder. The second is with the legend himself, SuperX with a modified version.

Ripshod's tip for the month: When using a torch to anneal your wire do it under tension - you'll get a dead straight piece of wire to work with Fantastic DiscoDes.............now I can retire I'll have one if you go with this addition Greigster

Hi Ripshod, I would not make these to sell due to ripping off someone's idea without permission. When I made my first "Coil Buddy", it was based on a fellow vapers idea, though not exactly the same. Out of good manners, I was able, with the originators permission, to reproduce something similar. But looking at this French one, it looks relatively easy to reproduce for my own personal use
