I bought an iTaste V3 about 3 weeks ago, then bought another at the weekend, The one i bought at the weekend is going back as i can not get any tank apart from the aero tank to register and work on it plus the 510 threads are a bit wonky,
now my first one is playing up it's not fully charging even though i let it discharge fully before i charge it up again it's only lasting a couple of hours, and today i've noticed that the green light on the front keeps flashing when i try to take a vape, i'm not holding it down for more than 3 seconds before this happens, everything seems to be working ie it's recognising the tank, it's got the vv vw status, and number of vapes, but it's not actually giving me any vape and as mentioned the green light keeps flashing, it's been on charge for past 3 hours still not fully charged only at 3.5, i'm charging it via laptop as i don't feel comfortable with the plugs i have,
I tried to charge it with a plug last night checked the plug was 500 mpa and it was 400-600 mpa but the charger became really hot within 15 minutes so i unplugged it as i was worried it was going to over heat, during that time the battery wasn't hot at all it was just the charger,
Can anyone help me or should i send this back as faulty to Ash as well, i don't want to lose my V3 at mo as i love them better than the evods going to get am mvp or vtr next week or both but until then i need to keep this working,
i'm leaving it to charge and not vaping while charging well only a couple of times. I thought once it had charged a bit the flashing green light might stop but it's not, also noticed that it's trying to switch it'self off and on and going through green amber and red a couple of times after it's the green flashing light,

I read up on it and it doesn't sound right to be honest. does it work ok in passthrough from the computer? or the wall one for that matter. It would make sense for the charger to become quite warm if it was charging a fully dead battery. maybe do it in the kitchen and give it an hour. just thinking. i don't have one. Ruffie.

clairea I am sure I have read somewhere that when it initially shows as charged turn off the charger and then turn it back on again and restart, this may not be about the v3 but for the life of me I can't remember where I read this. Hope it helps though.

think for a start the charger had developed a fault plugged my kindle one in and it seems to be charging now might give it a good clean after and see if that solves flashing green button, have been sweating a lot when using it thanks for the tip will try it out prr should be lasting all day as it did when i got it not a few hours meanwhile i've taken the beauty ring from pro tank off the other v3 and got it working now with that one as well so at least can use 2 tanks now with it might not need to return that one be glad when i get my box mods that hopefully wont need charging every day. I'm a heavy vapour esp at mo while in so much pain be good to be able to use one that lasts I really appreciate all your help, its charging in kitchen now on stove and not getting as hot now i changed lead

Just seems like a safe haven. Nice fire retardant stove top (like you say) or a bowl to put the thing charging in etc. Done it with everything from second hand ham radio gear to model airplane batteries. + usually a fire blanket somewhere in kitchen. So was the wall usb plug buggered then? or does the v3 just take any mini usb lead and it was a faulty lead ? Your Mental Lemon Lime mix is in the sonic just now steeping a bit. I'll post everything tomorrow morning as I am off work and you'll have it all for Saturday ok.

clairea it sounds to me asthough one of your atties has pushed the centre pins of your batteries in a bit too far, so they're not making contact with other atties or the charger properly. Have you tried easing up the centre pins a fraction?

The beauty rings are used to fill any gap there might be from the bottom of the tank and the top of the 510. The pin on some tanks poke out more than others so don't try and screw them down to far or it can damage the pin on the v3. Just screw them on till the pins touch then screw the beauty ring up to the tank so it holds it steady and doesn't wobble about.
This is my aerotank screwed on till the pins make contact. Its wobbly.
Then with the ring screwed up meet the tank. No wobble
Im not sure about the charging problem but wall chargers or phone chargers are better to use than laptops or computers.

hijack is spot-on there, I do the same with an ego thread cover/plinth with my protanks - it really does help save both your 510 threads from stripping and the centre pins on mods/batteries being squished down too much

it came like this, i found it wont work with beauty ring on pro tank no matter what i do but does with aero tank, this is the brand new one not used yet i couldnt get any to work on it originally then managed to get the aerotank to work but nothing else the beauty ring i had trouble getting on the thread was knackered to start with but finally managed it, but it won't work at all if you put the beauty ring on and the pro tank my nv tank won't work with it, nor will the clearmisers that come in the kit version,
the above is my brand new one i got at weekend,
the other one i had for 3 weeks which worked with everything the green light keeps flashing when i try to vape, it's now charged up though, cognis
i think maybe i was confusing you, my original v3 wasnt charging but i've resolved that now by using a different charger had a problem with light but now charged seems to be resolved,
new V3 would only recognise the aerotank from the day i got it at weekend and nothing else, today i managed to get it to recognise the pto tank as long as i don't use beauty ring but still wont recognise, nv tank or clearomisers, i hadn't managed to use it until today
i've solved most problems apart from new one still wont recognise nv tank or clearomisers but its not that important now i've got other two working with it, but do you think i need to bring pin up?

Try calling ash on the phone, you may need to try a few times, if he is busy then it goes to answerphone but he will pick up when he is at his desk. Or you can tag him here or go to his vendor thread and let him know whats going on. myepack thread or PM him myepack profile page
