Hi Chrissie, I was not on the forum much in the last few days so had lots to catch up on. I usually hit the "New Threads" button to find the latest posts. But I noticed that there wer over 30 new threads so had to manually go through the forum after I read the initial 30. Is there a way of increasing this? Or has it been set at this level for a specific reason? ta  Des |

Des, the number of new threads shown via the "New Topics" button is set by Proboards themselves & there is nothing anyone can do to change them  Got to admit it's my one main gripe with Proboards & I'm hoping it will change when they bring out their V5 that's being beta tested at the moment. |

am i seeing things or is Chrissie playing?
just now i went to the new topics and the list looked longer and didnt show the board where the thread was from... was it just my eyes or did this increase the number of viewable posts?

YW Des I really wish there was some way to change it The thing is not so much the limit but the fact that it doesn't update. Click once- new treads->good, open a thread and read it, then click again, the read one should be gone from the new thread page but its still there ??? Has baffled me since I landed on this forum. How about phpBB? |

works fine for me...are you hitting the back button (which will still show new) or the new topics button?

No I'm not playing Gordy, so it must be your eyes  The "New Topics" feature was only added a few months ago to Proboards & quite a few forum founders have asked if there is anyway of extending how many threads are shown & the answer is always no. |

works fine for me...are you hitting the back button aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh  If the already read threads would be gone the really new ones could slip up. That's what I meant Works this way on other forum software  |
