can you explain tanks for me please!

hiya all!
I have a riva and love it but i keep reading about tanks but dont really understand what the benefits are. Which ones and from which sites do you recomend for my Riva? cheers!

Hi Josie... glad you are liking your Riva, are you using atomiser and carts with it or cartomisers? the reason i ask is the term tank is used for two different things in vaping

you can get a tank system that replaces the atomiser and cart. the tank is very similar to a regular cart but it has no filler to hold the juice instead it has a cap on the bottom with a small hole that allows the juice to flow out onto a tank type atomiser

here is a picture of the tank slotted into the atomiser
which in turn is screwed onto a bettery


plus points:
very easy to fill the tank with little mess
holds over 1ml of juice so lasts quite a while with no drop off in flavour

negitive points:
mutes flavour of juices
can be leaky
doesnt like thicker juices

there is also a tank that can be used on cartomisers
but im not sure if that is what you have read about.. if it is i can explain them too

The main negative with tank atomisers (for me) is their cost and random lifespan.

Cartomisers are far more economical and give a much better flavour

Plus with a bigger tank, it's the size! imagine that stuck on the end of a Riva, that's why I won't use one.

Whilst Tanks are really useful in certain situations, when topping up isn't so convenient . . . I still find that the majority of the systems I've used, do mute the flavour of any juice you use.

Ahhhh thanks Curtis , I was not even aware of this tank, looks good except it would be nice to see a collar from the battery to the bottom of the tank.

A collar would be nice, it would be a bit of faff but if you had a spare cone you could always cut it down to hide the thread,
It looks a pretty smart tank though if you don't like the bigger bulky ones

Is it possible to use that tank on a Riva battery ? I thought you could only go down to 2 ohms on it.... but then I know next to nothing where electricity and power is concerned !

I don't think it's recommended to use DCC's on riva/ego batteries because it shortens there life span
Having said that I used to use DCC's on my riva battery and never had any problems

thank you all for your replies, I normally drip when in the house and then use a cartamiser when I am out but will definitely look into getting a tank. These ecigs are so addictive in wanting to try new stuff out! thanks again all!

It's a slippery slope josieanna vaping to me is more of a hobby than a habit like the ciggys were, hope you have fun trying out all the new stuff out there
