My Provari used to missfire... i used to press the button, the blue light would come on and nothing would happen, tried the same thing again and it would fire... i tried that isopropyl and it didnt make the slightest bit of difference so i used the smallest of smallest amounts of Autosol on a cotton bud and cleaned both the battery contact and the 510 pin..... never had a problem with it after that.

Its like a cream/paste polish, was mainly used way back when when cars had chrome bumpers and stuff .... you know, in the good old days..lol... it brings brass contacts up better brasso in my opinon...

ragjoy have a look at the battery contact that is nearest to the board and see if it has glue on it (epoxy) if it does isopropyl won't remove it, get something that can scrape it off if there is some there.

thanks des, ronaldo. des do you mean i may have to remove the top ring altogether or are you saying "you" dont like to see a small gap, not sure what you mean. You can unscrew the top ring a couple of turns to make the atomiser sit flush.

all has been well with the provari since around 1pm, i will use it at work all day tomorrow and hope all is good. thanks for all the help offered especially lairey for her really kind offer, im really tempted too order a zmax when i get back from my hols. raggy...............

The flush seems to have done I also have the battery connector a slightly abrasive clean. Raggy.
