Don't have a Kindle, but have used a Sony Prs505 for about 3 years now. Living a lot of the year on a boat, an e-reader is brilliant, saves having to worry about having enough books.

I love my Kindle! I've had it for less than 6 months but already paper based books seem like an unnecessary inconvenience to me. I'm no where near filling it's memory yet but even when I do hard drive space take up a lot less room than paper books. Plus e-books are cheaper it's a win win!
There are of course caveats. It's not so great for reference books where you want to make notes in the margin. It is not impossible but pen and paper still triumphs there. Similarly for reference books that have a lot of images, it is far from ideal, although far from horrible. However if you are mostly reading novels or text based non-fiction the Kindle is superb in all aspects.
I don't know if other e-book readers are as good or possibly better, as I haven't tried them, but for everything beyond reference books or those with a high degree of detailed graphics, the Kindle trumps the printing press by a country mile!

It might be a bad winter, we might get storms the power might go off for a day or more if this happens some of you are going to be in trouble or sat in the car vaping. I dont sell batteries If I vape @ 5V I have about 5 days of battery but if I go back to standard vaping I have about 12 days. Of course I probably be killing people because of lack of internet long before lack of vaping became an issue.

I have a couple of battery boost packs that can kick over a 5ltr engine that could run my passthrough for weeks or I can recharge all my batteries via an inverter + I have about 8 fully charged 18650s and a couple of 16340s and 4 18350s for my various mods not to mention a few rivas fully charged, bring on the power cuts, blakey's dug in Mind you, the power packs run the aquarium when the power goes so I will have to choose between fish or cocomel It's a shame cos I like the fish

I killed my kindle. Well, I think it's just having a nap. It informs me I have no books. I think that spree of downloading a huge wad of them thanks to kogrid listing almost 700 free books has weakened it a little. Now I can read tonight O.o I'll have to *gasp* actually go to bed.
