Yes mate, 20ohms is fine. What you need to remember is , a freshly charged riva is pushing out 4.2v and when you have a 1,5ohm draw on it there is a LOT of power taken out at one time. When the battery level falls to lower levels then there is not so much power going through the switch. I think you mean 2 ohms Blakey just thought i'd add this in case anyone tried to find 20 ohm Cartos If it's anything like me he missed the . from 2.0

Full stops are pesky things, along with comma's . . . I wonder what it would actually take to power up a 20omh carto, if such a thing existed.

Jungle/Stitch - you are going through exactly the same process I did! I have been happily vaping both Boge and Kanger LR (2ohm) on Riva and Ego batteries for a few weeks and no signs of them frying yet! I have also had no problems with a 1.5 ohm dual coil carto on an Ego battery. As has been mentioned, the Egos are regulated voltage i.e they stay constant at about 3.5ish volts.
Just to add a further complication though I also got an Ego lookalike battery (no logo) and this actually works like the Riva i.e. starts at 4.2v and steadily drops to about 3.5v. Mind you, before I realised this I was using a dual coil on that as well with no problems!
The main thing is though, you will notice a significantly bigger hit with the LR cartos which for me is great!
