Insurance companies are now giving discounts to cars with cameras. Also the video footage if recorded with date and time stamp are allowed in court cases. There is an upsurge in motoring scam crashes at present involving 2 or more cars

I'd be interested to see the reults of a night time drive.. it has infra red night vision, the only problem there is that the infra red lights will reflect off your screen blanking out the display (or at least that's what happens on my IR IPcam, bought it to moniter our car park but it wont look through the window at night

Good find.
Was considering one of these for my works van after several incidents over the last cpl of years, a dash-cam could have saved me a lot of hassle. Only thing that's put me off so far is having to unplug & put the thing out of sight every time i park up.
It's amazing how people's initial response at the scene of an incident bears no resemblance to the statement submitted to their insurance company.

Nice. How long is the lead for the rear cam if you don't mind me asking and is it easy to switch between the two so it can be used as a reversing cam. Thanks

The rear lead is massive and when fitted it does a picture within a picture and saves both into seperate files. Its only downer is its very plastic feel but in practice once its fitted you do not need to touch it again

robby that looks just like the fasttech one I have a feeling there are a few that use the same casing, I would doubt that the vid will be as good, but who knows ??? I`m tempted, it`s just a rediculous price for something like that
