Yup, this reprobate and Silvio Berlusconi are prime examples of the rich being untouchable. Oh, add Massimo Moratti to that list. Kids live in abject poverty, wearing rags and eating once every few days and these muppets lie, cheat and steal their way to wealth and power. Take ALL their money and assets and let them live like the people they help deprive of a humane life. Life as starving, homeless people should let them see the kind of misery their greed and power trips directly cause.

Seems the court have accepted it now, paying $100,000,000 out of court settlement of criminal charges shouldn't be allowed IMO it's peanuts to him.

How I laughed at this today.

A person "up" on a bribery charge bribes the court to drop the case and the court agrees!

However, saying all this, it makes little to no sense to bang him up, so might as well take the money.

Under German law, prosecutors can withdraw charges during criminal trials if all parties agree to the payment of a sum of money to a charity or the treasury.

Got to love that law... not.

I would never advocate violence, but is it any wonder there is so much unrest around the world caused by greed and the pursuit of power. We could probably count on one hand the number of businessmen, bankers, politicians and the like who have got to the top without 'greasing palms'.

Bang up the shoplifter trying to feed their family (OK I know that doesn't apply to all) but if you can stuff a 'brown envelope' with cash then different rules apply.

I like Bernie, and I still do, it is the law and the money talks scenario that is wrong , people get away literally with murder because they have money.

Have you seen the lifestyle of his daughters?
Jetting off here there and everywhere, ringing top consultants because they have a pimple?
It is a different world for them.

Hopefully they are or will be in touch with the real world at some point, and will perhaps help with either money or time those in need- really in need such as homeless etc.
