I just looked up online how to shrink wrap. it doesn't look too complicated thankfully, just a bit of a wait for the plastic tubing to arrive from my fasttech order. As most of the batteries kindly given to me by seniorphil have charged fine but a few have splits or rips in casing and that could be unsafe? Yes? So if I get the tubing and use hairdryer on them to heat and shrink wrap they will be fine to use then

I meant the bottom (side which should touch the switch) and not going around the sides, mike the circle of metel on the 2nd picture a little bigger if it was smaller than the screw on the switch. Don't try and use that battery with out putting some tape or heat shrink (I can post you a bit of heat shrink). I really sorry, I could have been clearer on which end, but I don't think I suggested to cut that much.

If you start with the top, work your way down and trim the bottom 2-3 mm past the end of the battery should do it, keep the heat moving (slowly twist the battery) so it's even.
