is it ok to put batteries in upside down in a mech?

got some sibiellie 18350s today and dont work in my stingray clone when they are positive up. but they work fine the other way round, is it ok to use them that way?

Yes because theres no circuitry in mechs. Voltage drop maybe an issue though

Yes, I use my batteries positive down in the stingray because of the bowl shaped contact.

cant see a problem with it as it has no circuitry it has no current flow at all until you press the fire button and there is no real positive or negative on a coil so as long as there is no problem with a spring in the mod then it will be fine but if the end cap has a spring I wouldn't use it with the batteries upside down

An atomizer does not know negative from positive... so as above, yes, not sure how there might be a voltage drop tho, the battery is in there making a connection no matter which round you put it.

no positive up and nothing, i thought it might of been cause they are flat top batteries but then if that was the case they wouldnt work the other way round, confusing

If an atty had a positive and negative wire attached to it you could connect those wires to a stand alone battery any way around you wish, the atty does not really have a designated pos or neg connection, its just become the done thing to call the center pin the positive... however, i have had mech mods where if you flip the battery you get battery rattle....lol... im sure it was always on mechs with a spring from what i remember, i never really bothered to figure out why

Certainly if using one battery. Don't connect batteries pos to pos. That would cause some funky chemistry o.o

makes no difference. I have a cube 14500 that works much better with the battery upside down. And it has a spring so I can't see why that might be an issue either

Batteries are DC... chargers are AC/DC... so while batteries love the other sex chargers 'swing both ways'

normally the battery spring is about 8mm at its end and a nipple battery is about 5mm so a nipple battery would not touch the spring so would not work as it would have no contact that was why I said don't do it in a mod with a spring

Just don't put nipple tops upside down on bottom button mechs without checking that the positive is not touching the centre of the switch, a Stingray would be ok but most bottom buttons would be permanently on. The other thing is if you had a kick you would need to turn that upside down to.

Ah right.  I understand now, I thought you meant there was some electrical reason that I wasn't understanding
