So. Been vaping daredevils custard for a few months (it's a massive struggle to find juice I actually like so currently only have that to vape). 50/50 and 6mg nic. Protank two, microcoil with cotton. 8.5watts.
All has been fine until a few night back when all of a sudden I take a vape and my chest hurts as I inhale. I thought at first that maybe it was the start of a cold/chest infection as that's what usually happens when i feel ill with something like that but it's been a few days and I feel fine. It just hurts to vape. To the point of making vaping generally unpleasant.
Thought it may be the coil or cotton so new coil. New wick (it's organic cotton I've been using for months). But no same issue.
Could I have suddenly developed a sensitivity to either the PG or VG or flavourings etc? Or the nic?
I've got a bottle of blueberry menthol from the local b&m. It's not great and I wouldn't want to vape it for long but it does in an emergency if I'm waiting for a delivery of juice etc and that doesn't cause the same problem. But that's a different set up. Small aspire tank 4mg nic, 70/30 (pg/vg).
I've got a bottle of roots kings cream I'll try now (had left it to steep). That's also 50/50 and 6mg.
Anyone have any ideas as to what could be the culprit?

6mg is pretty low, and you said you've been fine before vaping your juice. If it carries on, I would make an appointment with the the docs'. It could be just stress/anxiety? - best get checked out though.

Some people have a problem with cotton, so it is possible. All I can suggest to narrow it down is to try vaping just PG and Nic (Nic & flavourings normally have PG which is why I put it before VG) for a few days, if that doesn't stop it try VG and nic and if that doesn't stop it try changing wicking material.
Good luck

Thanks. I've been using cotton for about 5 months now. Really hope it's not that as I use protanks with microcoil and cotton as my main vaping equipment.
I'll pop the local b&m and see if he's got any 0mg in to rule out nic.
Have a bottle of 70/30 PG/VG but will have to wait till payday and find something 100% PG.
It could be stress/anxiety or even acid reflux. I suffer badly with both. But pointless making a docs appointment. Last time I went he told me to go travelling and stop wasting his time with my chest pains (went the drop in, sent to hospital. Thankfully acid reflux), he's a waste of time.

i get the same thing if i vape 50/50 pg vg i have to have a higher pg than vg and i don't' get the pain when i vape higher pg, think i have a slight vg sensitivity, 70/30 seems fine but anything lower than that and i get chest pain when i vape, it goes when i stop, regardless of set up,

I doubt it's nic (maybe nic level, but yours is low so prob not) and as you say could be unrelated to vaping. I have not had an intolerance to anything vaping so cannot do more than guess, you seem a smart guy and I'm sure that you find an answer.

And I've vaped 50/50 for over a year now. I'm sure I'll figure it out. Vape related or not. I'm not a guy haha

It could be flatus i.e. gas and bloating. You might be reacting to the higher VG - I do, and can't vape anything less than 70/30
