Edit: I seem to have been rather optimistic about the prices. Have adjusted them to reflect current reality. All clones except the Aga and Protank. All used, in fair condition, with signs of use. £40 for the lot, Paypal, f&f. Obviously, I prefer this. P&P at actuals. Not included in prices below. Individual prices as below: 1. Taifun GT clone. £152. Oddy clone. £15. The ceramic insert on this has a piece missing, as shown in the pic. However it doesn't affect operation. 3. Aqua clone. £54. Aga S. £55. Kanger Protank with spare head. £5Note: I had mistakenly stated the Aga to be an Aga T2 previously. It is an Aga-S

Would you have any recommendations for a smooth tobacco flavour? I vape 70:30 (PG:VG) 6-11mg, but find most flavors very harsh. Examples include HS Delight, Decadent Vapors American Gold and Natural Dark Leaf. Unfortunately, higher VG ratios cause other issues (bloating....), so that's not an option. Links to recommendations,if you have them, would be highly appreciated.
thanks

It could be flatus i.e. gas and bloating. You might be reacting to the higher VG - I do, and can't vape anything less than 70/30

I think it would be naive to think that vaping is harmless. There is nicotine, for a start and it's associated side effects for some people. But even if you are vaping 0mg, the PG and VG do cause unpleasant reactions. for e.g. VG when drunk as a liquid doesnt seem to do any harm, but when I vape it, I get severe bloating and IBS. So clearly, the way VG metabolizes when vaped is different from when it is drunk. and I have no idea what is in any of the "flavors". Given that, I think it is entirely fair for the NHS to encourage one to stop it.

Friday afternoon and thoughts ramble. There is no real reason for this post, except that I had this irresistible urge to "share". well...it was either this, or the powerpoint presentation I have been putting off for ever.
I started with ecigs in 2012, a pack of Sky - and thought it (and consequently vaping) a pile of smelly stuff. That would have been it, but I happened to see someone with an iClear bottom coil and evod. That got me started again and I "discovered" vaping. Kangers were a great change - I hated the wicks in the iClears. After some months, I decided that Kangers/Evods were too "newbie"ish and decided that as a proper vaper, I needed a VV/VW and RBA/RDA combination. So I got myself a Vamo and over the next few months, faffed around with Taifun, Kayfun, Aqua, Fogger, Oddy, Aga and several others. I must admit to feeling a little self conscious holding a big steel mace, but hey, I was a vaper.
I have finally decided that the humble Kanger T3S + evod works best for me. Admittedly, I am crap at coiling the RBAs, and found RDAs too distracting. But I have (finally) figured out how to coil the Kanger heads properly, so running cost is very low (half an inch of wick and 4" of Kanthal every couple of weeks). I have enough wick and wire to reach the moon, so I think that I am set for life.
On a more general note, I think vaping is good because: - It stopped me smoking. totally got rid of the urge, never "miss" it, unlike previous attempts. The chance of a relapse seems very minimal (a few months back, I took a drag, post several pints, and just couldn't draw it in) - Consequently, I am not pouring ~4000 carcinogens into myself on an hourly basis. which must be a good thing. unless I get hit by a bus tomorrow... - Stamina and general health has definitely improved. I cycled from London to Paris last year for charity, in less than 3 days, which would have been unimaginable when I was a steady smoker. - Saved a lot of money, though shinyitis keeps denting this one - I can vape pretty much anywhere, if I keep it a bit discreet. haven't tried it in a plane toilet yet...should I? - I also smell better, even when I don't shower - I converted 2 chain smokers (both have stopped completely) and felt super happy (and embarrassed) when one guy's wife teared up when thanking me
Vaping is not so good because - I am still putting in "some" stuff into myself. Just don't know "what" in enough detail, but I am pretty sure it is nothing like a cigarette's payload - VG doesn't agree with me - I had severe bloating and IBS when I started using VG-heavy liquids. Was forced to become pretty unsocial until the penny dropped. All of it stopped when I went back to PG (but that gives me a sore throat if I overdo it) - The "urge to smoke" hasn't gone - it seems to have been replaced by the "urge to vape". My nicotine levels are very low now (started with 18, and am now on 6 or less). But it doesn't go away. - I had to join 6 new forums, including AAEC.....whoever said Facebook is a distraction from work didnt know what they were talking about - they should try joining AAEC.

here is something that I don't understand: I recently got an aqua clone. set it up with dual coils (1.7ohms combined resistance, silica wick). stuck it on my vamo, and found I wasnt happy with the vape. set it aside, thought it might be because it hadnt wicked properly yet. tried again after about 20mins, still didnt like it. It wasn't bad, but it wasnt as nice as my taifun GT (clone) either. tried varying the AFC and the wattage up and down - which did make a difference but it wasnt "nice" then, out of idle curiosity, I screwed it onto an ego battery - and bam! it vaped beautifully. no change to the AFC, coils, wick or e-liquid from what it had been on the Vamo. So I measured the output voltage on the ego (3.7V), set the Vamo to 3.7V and put the aqua back.......but it didnt vape the same. put it back on the ego, and it's great. What gives? from an basic circuits PoV, it's the same coil - and the same voltage applied to the same coil should have the same effect. So why does it vape so well on the ego, but not on the vamo at the same voltage? I am not complaining - just curious as to why. the aqua+ego combination works very well, though it does look like
