23 mm ???
Taller ???
Heavy ???
Manuals on a USB key ??? rather download and save a few quid.
The connector is a good idea, but IIRC Zen has being trying to push a standardised larger open to everyone connection system for some time.
Included extension tubes & flat top battery comparability are things they should have fixed in a v 2.x
I should be a very high quality device with great safety and longevity and if you like it why not it's your money and will out last more than 4 eVics for similar money.

To many devices suffer from thread failure and a change from the 510 to something stronger can only be a good thing.
Andy
I've not had a single device suffer from thread failure and I've bought/owned/used a fair few in the time I've been vaping . . . so it does make me wonder what people do to cause this? But I never over tighten anything, which I believe helps. Whatever, it will be very interesting to see how the P3 is received when it goes mainstream, I'm looking forward to it - whether I buy one or not.

Although it comes with the extension tubes, this will obviously be reflected in the price. So along with the other techno stuff it is equipped with, there is a possibility this thing could be pushing £300.

The thread that the inner 510 connection is connected to is what Provari are calling the P3 connection , which Phil said would be good for a hybrid , and a big step up in thread capability if their torque is believed and there is no reason why it shouldn't.

Just how tight does an atomiser need to be fixed on? Ive never had a single 510 connector that wasn't strong enough. As far as I can tell most problems are with people over tightening or from poor quality cheap mods that maybe aren't using the best materials for the job. The P3 connection as far as I understand it is supposed to be for hybrid setups and its just throwing more confusion into play. What would be wrong with Provape going with 20x1 threading the same as many other manufacturers are doing? As far as the mod goes, its a Provari and people will buy it just for that reason. It will no doubt be a high quality mod but in my opinion overpriced for what it is. I'll just stick to my overpriced mechs thanks.

I think I need to start saving my pennies. I've been waiting for the V3 and it looks good so far.

Bob did the vendor explain what the Beta meant to you the customer because everyone is speculating exactly what it means.

Bob did the vendor explain what the Beta meant to you the customer because everyone is speculating exactly what it means. Not really but it was sold as a Beta and if you do not know what that means then you shouldn't be getting it, it is obvious to me that it is one of the preproduction models that were sent out to vendors, and hopefully I won't find any problems with it, I think Vape Gear have had them for a couple of weeks now so they have probably put them through their paces before offering them out for sale (hopefully at a lower price than the production models will be), I accept that there may be a risk that something could go wrong, but I would hope that the vendor would be trustworthy enough to get any problems fixed, I've not had any problems with them.

Rather than edit the above, a thought just occurred to me, in that they did not say that they would want a full review of the P3 or anything like that

I think most do know what Beta means but this is where the confusion is, vendors are not stating anything about the beta terms for the customer.

It's a good point, but in my mind, vendors that have received some, have probably given a few away to reviewers like Todd etc for proper breakdown reviews, and then found they still have quite a few left over so are selling them so that collectors can get hold of them quicker than waiting for the production models and with just normal terms of sale, whether there would be a problem in the future getting assistance from Provape, I doubt it very much.

The Beta units are covered by the same warranty as the final production units. The design of the final unit is slightly different as you already know and there will be a few tweaks here and there to the software, no doubt. Vendors were given the opportunity to buy extra Beta units to sell (preferably offline via B&M) and they are cheaper than the final production models will be (TBC). We decided not to go for more Beta units, but wait for the updates and the final release. The one I've been using personally has performed flawlessly and is everything you would expect from Provape. I'm sure you will be more than happy with it Bob

Innovating once more Provape. The 'IQ' function for instance, giving your PV build a score based on the quality of connections, that's actually clever. I'm a bugger for not cleaning 510s much less batteries, but a yucky connection is adding resistance to the circuit, so makes sense to. Just got the isopropyl and some cotton buds out (not rayon buds... yet ) and cleaned a couple of my devices. Atty connector, 510 connector, mod positive (if reachable), battery positive, battery negative. Not bothered with springs, fiddleh things
