battery trip

Hi

I made 2 coils and got them working but only in 18650 mode.

The coils are 1.2ohm each and put together it is 0.6ohm.

My 18350 batterys are protected.

Can anyone help me figure this out please.
I just want to use it in 18350 mode so what can I do????

I think .6 is too low for 18350's

.6 is far too low for a protected 18350 mate, the protection circuits will not allow that to fire
You need some of these myepack.co.uk/batteries/efest-purple-high-discharge-rate-battery.html they have a decent enough amp rating to fire that coil

Ok thanks for that I'll just have to make some more coils at higher ohms

There is not an 18350 that can power 0.6 ? well, there are couple of high drain ones which are safe, but they still don't have the omph and wont last long. I wouldn't bother with anything other than a Sony VTC 18650 or some of the high drain 26650 that low myself.

I just made couple more and both together show 1.0ohm and it works. So im thinking as long as its over 1ohm the 18350 will power it

I have a red Efest 18350 powering a 0.8 single coil in my Veritas atm (5.25amp draw, so well under the 6amp limit), and it's doing well... no telling how fast it will drain, but so far this evening it's ok.

have you got a tank o meter to test the drop though, at .8 single coil on a gleaming mech mod with a efest 18350 was getting .3-.35 voltage drop, 350s are great for size, but for "high watt vaping" they dont really cut it, i think if your going sub ohm for the battery to give the ommmph you need a 30amp or high amp at least.

but just bump the ohms up the ohms there is no diffrence between .8 and 1 ohm to me anyways

Yes, and I get the same .3 drop. TBH 18350 in a mech isn't really for me, I tried it out as an experiment at .8 and it did fine, except it lasted for about 4 'smoke breaks' at work, so even though it's small and neat it's not really worth it... I'm sticking with my vtc5's!

could try the sibelies 18500 or 490s they are 22amp rated 1100 mah if i remember correctly, i had some but never sub ohmed using them, worked great with a 1 ohm single coil, cant comment on the battery life as i dont really vape that much so one was lasting me nearly 3 days

I use 18350 every day and always carry 2 spare, all my single coils are always around 1.5 and my duels are always between 0.8 and 1, they never last the day but that's what you get for loving 18350 mods

yeah the sib 350s suffer the same as the red efest .3-.35 voltage drop with a 1ohm single coil, but i only use 350s now so meh thats fine with me still gives me the performance i like sorry to hijack this thread but anyone got any good suggestions for 14500 batteries? was just going to stick with the red efest but are there any other decent 14500s out?

I just can't do 350s either ... Got big hands and I find mechs that small too awkward to hold ... Plus they don't last ... VTC5s all the way for me
