I have a few tanks for my VTR. A Davide, some protanks and use aerotanks megas with extension tube which look ridiculous. I have some regular aerotanks on the way too.
What would be considered as 'the best' tank to use? I am just learning to make coils and have some rayon for wicks so would like something easy to rebuild.
Recommendations please?

I have big nautilus but didn't really like it and sold it with a vamo. I like the protanks but think that the megas are better. The downside to the mega is how it looks on the VTR so I am just using them on the SVD although I just wanted to use that for a decent dripper for evening use.
Maybe just stick with what I have and stop thinking that I need something more....

I loathed the big nautilus, horrible ugly gurgley spitty thing it was with the stock coils
The mini however (or rather its the new BVC coils) are amazing - you can't recoil them, but then again I can't recoil (I can rewick a Naturevape micro coil with cotton, thats about as far as I go - and I don't even like that much). The mini would be an ideal fit on the VTR as its 19mm and they give a great vape. Not going to be cheap to run compared to recoiling yourself though, looking like a fortnights use a head, and its not really a looker - well in the default glass anyway - the stainless steel tank would have looked okay had they not put a penis shaped window on it!
Otherwise I'd go with aerotanks, the V2 aerotank should be just the right size and I like the new coil design (others don't however, your mileage may vary). I am very fond of both my mini and mega (maybe I should get a V2 to go with it but doesn't come with the funky stainless steel tank so wouldn't match my others).

Just a heads up the mini nautilus doesn't fit on the vtr. The airflow ring is slightly larger it was the main reason for me buying it. Was gutted when it didn't fit !!!

There are two rebuildables I'd recommend that fit the vtr without modification. The bt804 dream (kind of kayfun clone) and the Taifun GS. If you have a dremel however you can fit anything up to 22mm in diameter which broadens the spectrum of what you could use. I have a kayfun 3.1 on mine and luv it

Best results have been microcoil with cotton, and then either mesh or steel rope in the wick holes. There's a few threads on ukv. Here's oneand another (more in depth)

I've been meaning to try something like this for a while but would like to keep the ring and not make is so thin that it'll easily break.
