davetherayon I do use rayon, you kindly sent me some which will last me ages, and I aim to mix small 10ml trials to make sure I find some I really like. I even got an Igo-L dripper from the classies on here, but I've only tried it once, not very successfully but only got it yesterday, so plenty time to play. I wanted to try a dripper especially to try juices I mix. My problem so far with mixing, the little I've done is that I'm too impatient, steeping! Bleurgh. Just want to mix and go

I feel your pain icon_shoppingm In my wisdom I decided to start a spreadsheet to show how much I am saving compared to the stinkies. Tomorrow will be my 6th week of not buying cigs for the following week and I am £27.54 down On the plus side, if I spend nothing this week, I will be in credit next week so can buy another tank or atomizer I only wanted a cheaper healthier alternative to stinkies and I have a horrible feeling I have a new obsession Damn you AAEC, you just want us all to It took me a year to see a profit, but I now have a selection of batteries and tanks that I am now happy with, plus enough coils for the rest of the year. Lots more new flavours is my next big spend now.

I am already in "profit" I started a spreadsheet as soon as I started vaping, as of today I've "saved" £300.60 after taking off everything I've spent on gear and liquids etc. thankfully my shineyitis has slowed down a little bit - well kinda sorta says she who in the past week bought an MVP Shine and £30's worth of stuff from slow tech plus some juices I just "had" to try but I do find keeping the spreadsheet does help keep it under a bit of control as I do like to see those "profits" growing week on week even if it's only a tenner or so it does make me think long and hard about whether or not to hit checkout on things that happen to find themselves in my basket all by themselves

I think is only fair to spend at least half of money you will give for cigarettes for vaping gear.

I've pretty much stopped spending, apart from new heads every about 6 weeks, mixing stuff every couple of months and that's about it. Oh apart from the new spinner last month...,... But given that I was spending at least £45 a week on cigs I'm still saving a fortune!

It sounds like it does slow down a little, and it is still way cheaper overall. In fairness, I've just started mixing, so it feels like big spends to start with, but once I'm not buying liquid, it should get better, and if I hadn't hunted for a kit for the gf, I probably wouldn't have bought a lovely, shiny rainbow twist battery........think I'll start a cig v vape spend list, but from now......not going back over the past several months, I'd probably weep icon_shoppingm

davetherayon hit the nail on the head, the spending's all up-front. I've just splashed out on 500ml of nic base which will last me, my mate nad my OH a good 6 months. Now that was an instant spend of £40, but it's a one-off. I'm sorted for hardware now, and apart from wire and concentrates, shouldn't need to spend much for the next few months (he said, with his fingers crossed behind his back!).

Paypal and your bank should have several pop-up confirmation boxes when buying vape gear.
"You sure you want to buy this item?" "Are you absolutely sure?" "But do you actually need this item?" "Do you need it or just want it because it looks good? - be honest now." "There's plenty in stock, there's no rush to buy it now." "You already have 12 of these in different designs, do you really need another." "So you're absolutely certain you want to buy the nice shiny thing?." "Positive?."

amygx that's a REALLY good idea, but maybe add 'And actually you can live perfectly well without it, and probably 90% of the other stuff you've bought, so maybe, perhaps don't buy it'

I wish I could unlink my bank account from my paypal, that way I would HAVE to sell some old stuff and get some PP balance to pay for new shinys. As it is, I just buy the new and promise myself that I will get round to having a massive clearout, very, very soon... never happens of course!

Yes, you can stop. But do you really want to? Do you really, really want to? I thought not.
