Sounds like you are being lovely to all those around you by helping them to get their vape gear, but why not just point them in the right direction to get what they want for themselves.
We've all had to eBay some stuff to get the new shiny we want in our vape box, so they can too....

leo I feel guilty because I smoked when he was little, ergo....he became a smoker ( I know it's not automatic but....) so I didn't mind getting him some stuff, and as I've learned from people on here, of the kit works properly you stand a much better chance of sticking to it. So when his gf decided to give it a more serious go.....I'd much rather get her started with something half decent rather than her buy some rubbish and it not work. Tbf she did just ask me for advice but I offered to get her started. They are coming to visit next week, so I aim to introduce them to making coils and maybe even mixing.......but they'll have to get their own kit for that!
Anyway, people on here have been nice to me.....so it's only fair really...........

In my wisdom I decided to start a spreadsheet to show how much I am saving compared to the stinkies. Tomorrow will be my 6th week of not buying cigs for the following week and I am £27.54 down 

On the plus side, if I spend nothing this week, I will be in credit next week so can buy another tank or atomizer 

I only wanted a cheaper healthier alternative to stinkies and I have a horrible feeling I have a new obsession

I get it, I totally understand.... and what you're doing is lovely.. but if you didn't get it for them, they would find a way to get it for themselves... especially if money is tight, as vaping (as we know) is much cheaper than smoking!

Although...... you have given me a thought.... both my parents smoked when I was little, so maybe I should send them my last few FT invoices!!

My 'stop being so nice' comment was tongue in cheek, but seriously, if it's hard for you to afford it, don't. They will find a way to take care of it themselves.

But, in many ways it's easier to help out a little when I can.....it only means there's less than bggr all when I shuffle of this mortal coil, and if son stops the stinkies he may live long enough to fund my care when I can't be bothered to look after myself there's method in this insanity

problem is I never find any bargains as I never have the time to look I rely on robby and other members to find them for me

Mixology all the way. Get a 100ML of PG VG and 500ML of nic concentrate (seriously that much) and TAKE TIME to check out the concentrates you're interested in (tobaccos? fruit? savoury/sweet?) on this august website. Buy a few cheapo bottles and syringes. Invest a bit of time in mixing. Have patience while they steep. The money savings will roll in pretty soon (and you'll have the satisfaction of being able to vape your own )

The savings will start to show eventually sleedale... now, all I need to buy are replacement concentrates (and the odd new flavour(s) that take my fancy) and replacements if something fails. It's taken me over 9 months to get to this stage though

It can be a bit omg when does this stop if you don't control yourself (which I didn't ) Over 60 concentrate bottles now lol... but you can get by if you decide in advance what you'd like and go for them, instead of my splatter gun strategy ''ooh that sounds nice" "that might mix with that" "someone's enjoying that" "what the hell are these bottles doing all over my desk now"

davetherayon, that's what I'm aiming to do.....have bought 250 ml nic base and 1l each pg VG and have some concentrates. I've mixed a few and they are lovely from recipes on here, by people who are skilled at mixing and generous enough to share their results.

This thread is a bit of fun really, it's just been a bit of an expensive week, but I have got a lovely rainbow ego twist and some more concentrates for when the pg/VG arrive. I even bought syringes and bottles from an eBay vendor, then realised they were in China! Won't be here tomorrow then

On the plus side......I did work today, unexpected fill in shift, so a little more funds to go towards the spends

I was inordinately happy to learn how to make coils too.....that saves a fortune with the added bonus that as soon as things start to taste I can do something about it, instead of spending another £1.50 and having to wait or buy in stock.......see all good really, saving loads

Ooh ooh another wee trick with mixology... get some small bottles (10mg is good) and mix up in them, then if they dont work out it's just a few gone. With stronger flavours (I mean no steeping)you can try as you go, that's what drippers do best Keep a clean 10 mil bottle or 2 aside, if you get the urge to mix x and y do it, drip it into rayon (the taste will come through right away) and decide if it's a keeper or not.

Edit : with rayon (do I like rayon apparently yeah ) you can load up a dripper as a test bed, fill it and test a juice with it, and LITERALLY remove the dripper, wash it under a tap, run it under a hair dryer for 2 mins to dry out the water and reload it.
