It's really a wood turners friction polish I used, it's only had one coat so far.

mybad without measuring it's about 3/4mm thickness.

Almost done.... wasn't happy with the window/frame so still deciding what to do with that and it needs a good polish up.
But here it is working so far. (still have to drill vent holes yet which I nearly forgot about in the rush to see it working).

I think a small frame would be good for the display but think it would be fiddly as hell to make.
Maybe you could get something 3d printed and spray it to match your metalwork?

I still can't get my Win7 64bit laptop to recognise the device. When plugging it in I get the error message saying it doesn't recognise it and then of course in the software no devices are shown if trying to install the driver.

Find the exe and try setting oroperties - compatibility settings to an older version of windows.
or
Try uninstalling, then right clicking the setup.exe and "Run as Administrator"
or
Tag Ripshod and see if he can help

removing battery worked, I had read that with these later updates removing battery wasn't needed and thought that applied to connecting too.

I have a 0.6 ohm coil (10x wraps of 0.5 kanthal on a 3mm driver), with a Rayon wick in my Squape Reloaded atty and i'm coughing my lungs out.. lol not really. It's kicking out a lot of vapour and I haven't taken it above 25W yet.
