London laptop battery giveaway/mini meet, gauging interest.

Hi,
I still have loads of batteries to give away and wanted to know if their are any London vapers interested.
Each laptop battery contains 6 unprotected 18650s either Panasonic, Samsung or Sony. Perfect in vv/vw devices, torches or power banks- www.fasttech.com/products/1592500 ( they do cheaper 2/3 18650 ones).
When I get back to London(10 days or so), I was thinking of doing a mini meet to give these away depending on interest. Date, time, and venue yet to be decided, but I'll try to make it central and at a time that suits all.
If your interested please post here, if there isn't much interest I may sort out individual meets.

I'd deffo be interested, can't have enough batteries! I must try and link up with you re Hackspace when you get back to the smoke, I've managed to organise my time better these days, evenings have been hectic of late which is why I haven't gotten back to you regarding a visit.

I am not sure, I've been trying to find out if alanfinal is organising one, or if he wants someone else to do it, but have received no response.
The batteries won't be around for ever, there was 20,000 18650s, but that's down to 8,000. They are being offered to myself and 1000 others who all use batteries. They'll certainly be gone by October, so if I am going to nab some for London vapers I'll have to move as soon as I get back.

I got relation just gone from cigalikes to a Vamo, shes out of work and bit pushed for money, so a set of 18650's might be handy for her, if you can keep me a few be appreciated. We off on holiday first weekend and mid september so will not make any meets then, but could always send a SAE.

Just as an idea, today we were out and about deepest darkest east london (shoreditch, columbia road, we are trendies you know), anyway wanted grub and that area a waste of time for reasonable food so ended up in the Seabright on offchance of a table at 1.30, empty us and six others, great had good beer and usual fantastic burger, so i quizzed staff on how quiet considering rest of area packed, "always like this sunday lunch times" they replied, great for a meet, good ale and cider, burgers to die for and vape friendly.
And most likely if you arrange anything we will be away that weekend

For those that dont know it, and we should not give away secrets, backstreet east london boozer, that looks like its not been decorated since the war (i went to school with at that time owners son), lovely atmosphere, staff that cannot be more helpful if they tried, just a nice place as long as you ok with bit of dirt and poor decorating.
And the burgers are the best we've ever had, and we know about these things lol.

Pm me your address and I'll drop them through your door when I get back, seems silly for me to take them home and post them when they're in your manor.

The Sebright would suit me down to the ground, but I don't think it would suit people coming from south/west/north London. Id I need to organise a battery meet it'll have to be much more central.

For now I think it would be best to see if Alan is going to organise a meet, it'd be a lot easier for me to cart the batteries to one location and dish them out. If a meet doesn't come about I'll organise a mini-meet.
It would still be good to gauge interest so I know roughly how many I need to claim for us.

seniorphil Alan told me on facebook that the coach and horses is free every Saturday in September, and that he hoped to get time tomorrow to put up a thread on it.

Also, I am not sure if people realise that the last meet failed to make the minimum bar spend; which meant that Alan had to lose his £50 deposit.

Have they been in a private room ?

As long as I can get as much notice as possible I will TRY and come along even if it is for just a couple of hours.

Montana yes they are in an upstairs room in a pub. There are too many of us puffing out vapour for the meets to be in the main part of a pub.

The reason I mentioned it is because I don't think it's right that Alan should have to pay for it out of his own pocket. If others are in agreement I think we should have a whip round at the next meet to reimburse him.
