New on the site and looking for advice on first move away from cig a alikes
Have been using Blu(skycig) for a few months. Reasonably happy - certainly satisfies the nicotine craving (I will admit though I haven't kicked the cigarettes fully yet - but want to)
Frustrated at lack of flavours and constant recharging batteries After a lot of research (boy, how confusing) I reckon on an EVOD 2 or EVOD glass starter kit to get me going.
A few questions: How long realistically does a 650mah battery last - using it mainly at work so going out for cigarette breaks? How long does a tank of juice last? Don't want to be re-filling frequently Reputable suppliers? I know there is a list on here - any recommendations? Juices - recommended brands, suppliers? (subjective question I know)
Any advice gladly received - thanks

Hi Argg and welcome. I started on skycig myself and found them extremely frustrating with constant charging and filling cartos an not very satisfying. I moved onto ego style batteries and clearos tanks ce4 type. I found these far superior than cigalikes but I've now moved onto the itaste v3 batteries with iclear 16 clearomisers which hold 1.6 ml of juice and I go through approx 2 of them a day. I also have the evod tank which I use on my itaste. I haven't tried the evod battery as I don't think it's variable voltage or wattage (great if you want to make the draw stronger or lighter). My battery usually lasts most of the day and I have a spare one for using while the other one is on charge. However with the itaste you can use it while charging as it charges from the bottom (pass through). You can buy the itaste or evod kits from Myepack As for juice JooseJuice is a good place to start as 10ml samples are only £1.49 and you can sample loads of flavours to find out what you like. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck on giving up the cigs

It depends if you want a 'for now' answer... When I started in January I had an Evod, a spinner a couple of Evod tanks and a protank2, they lasted me for ages (I went to York for a week & charged my batteries once, and refilled the tank once) but I had my wife with me so I was only vaping when out of her sight, very soon I realised that I wanted something better, I bought a MVP (then another as a spare) and eventually some aerotanks. I now vape on a (very) regular basis, my MVP gets recharged daily and I probably go through about 5ml of juice per day, but this is because I have found juices that I really enjoy, and I like vaping So the answer to your question (IMO) is: initially but these time periods and juice requirements will shorten VERY quickly as you go through your journey. My suggestion if you REALLY want to give up smoking for good is to bite the bullet, buy yourself a MVP (and perhaps a spinner as a spare) plus a couple of aerotanks, the initial outlay is higher but you will save LOADS in the long run

argg. Well done on your journey so far...when you move up a level you'll wonder how you did so well on the sky cig. It just doesn't compare. I personally would recommend you start with a vision spinner. A 650 mah will probably do you for just popping out for the odd break when at work but a 1300 will last you probably most of the day. As for juice everyone is different of course, I vape 3-4 mil a day which I think is about average. So a clearo holding 2mil should do you for work. They aren't very big anyway so you could always keep a filled one spare in your pocket. As for the clearo to buy, I'll leave that for someone else as I use the ones from Fastech ( your future shop, once you get going ) Hope this helps but I'm sure loads of other advice will be along shortly

Either of the starter kits would do you fine, but may as well spend the extra couple of quid on the glass kit, as some juices can crack the plastic used in tanks like the EVOD 2. These kits generally come with two batteries and two tanks. This allows you to have one battery charging while using the other. Anyway, one battery should last you at least a shift at work. Mine lasted for about 8-10 hours when I used them. The tanks will hold enough to keep you vaping for a while. You'll probably use about 2 tanks a day, but this varies from person to person depending how much you vape. As for suppliers, try myepack , probably the best price you'll get on the kits you mentioned. You can get cheap juice from mr e-cig , but most people prefer the juices from Joose Juice. You can buy 10ml samples here for £1.50, and I believe they still do buy bogof on the 30ml bottles. Also check out smoke rainbow who sell 1ml samples from various manufacturers for 50-70p each. A good way to try lots of flavours and manufacturers without buying large bottles you may not like. Good luck and happy vaping.

I've got KSD Kmax and an Aerotank you can have to get you started, they're just sat about doing nothing. Message me your address and i'll send them. You'll need to buy batteries though.

argg - hi and a warm welcome to you too Good advice there from rednutt - Myepack is an excellent vendor used by many on this forum. Their prices are the keenest around, so no discount code for them. JooseJuice is also a very good vendor - just bear in mind that their juices are mixed to order, so may need some steeping (put away and forgotten about for a week or two) to allow the flavour to develop. The Alchemist's Cupboard and Chef's Vapour are just two of the many other good juice retailers around - check out HERE for discount codes. The Evod starter kits are a great step up from the cig-a-likes that you are using, but you may wish to consider one of these which have glass tanks allowing you to use known 'tank-cracker' juices like pineapple and cinnamon with the slightly bigger-profile Spinner which should last you the majority of a day, with the smaller batteries in the starter kit to keep you going while the Spinner charges (about 4 hours). Hope this helps! ETA: Beaten too it by others, but at least we are all saying the (roughly) same thing!!

Hiya argg a very warm to AAEC and the next phase in your vaping journey. Another vendor is Redjuice.co.uk they have some great juices and good hardware and give a good service plus you can use discount code: AAEC10 for 10% off. I will recommend the EVOD kit (single coil) for all your needs (@£24.95 is cheaper than other sites), all you need to buy is juice to go with it and you're all set to go, but bear in mind though the EVOD tanks are polycarbonate, although rare, certain juices may crack them tanks.
