Heyas peeps been doing some reaserch on building an epipe and the only bit that I'm struggling on is the firing button. Ideally I would like something that can lock like on a mech mod. My idea is to use the bottom fiireing switch of a knacked mech mod if I can find one cheap on fleabay. Have looked at the pipe modders forums etc and where many got there switches from the site no longer works. I don't like the idea of the penny switch very simple but unsafe in the long term. If anyone has advice on minimum size of pipe I would need to get 18350 size battery + 13 mm for switch which I could canablise from home. Cheers peeps.

Agreed with above Sej016 helped me with lots of advice see also ukvapers.org/Forum-E-Pipe-UsersLoads of stuff there. I built one, not because i wanted one, just because of challenge, total cost was under £10 not including attie and tank, worked fine, took too few meets, work, engineeering club, but that was it still sitting here half full of juice. For me big problem is VW vaper, so raw power of 18350 just not good enough, if I was to do it again i'd use a VV/VW board. But if I can do it anyone can MP

mart166 nice work there is that a ego button on the side? Cheers for the replys peeps. Looking for a old pipe I like that is suitable on fleabay atmo. Like the idea of a eccentric Sherlock Holmes style but I really like the churchwarden with the long stem, only problem is they tend to have small bowls. WNo way I can cram a battery in there lol.

I've been going to make an epipe for a while but never got around to it, but while designing I came to the conclusion myself that a lock wouldn't be needed for the switch as long as it sat flush.

My awnser was magnet on negative terminal, remove its off. If i was to do it again it would be VV/VW but although i've looked and thouht ok, it need to be big pipe for idiot and well no not for me, been there seen it done it and it worked !!!!!!!! MP

I'm late to the party ! As mentioned above, just about everything you need to know (guidance, advice, build threads, etc.) can be found here ukvapers.org/Forum-E-Pipe-UsersIf there is anything specific answers you need, then I will try and help. Best of luck with your endeavours - it can be very rewarding and satisfying. Choosing a pipe for conversion without having it in your hand can be hard to judge. You should be looking for an internal bowl depth of about 45mm, to take a vape fuse, battery, top pick up ring and a manual button. You can get away with less depth for eGo electronics and a side button.

Just one word of advice, if like me your not an electronics person, pick as bigger pipe as possible, might be easy for experts to solder a 2mm length of wire to a board, but for me had to allow for mess ups bad soldering etc, ended up with lot of wire to be stashed in place.

Many thanks sej016 at that price they good to learn on good size and hopefully what I have in mind should fit hehe. Once I have the pipe I will need to track down a brass/copper dome size unknown as of yet as I'm going to try make a fancy top. I can silver solder so will try make some if the buts from scratch. Unfortunately don't have my lathe anymore I'm hoping to use an AFC as the 510 connector but again hard to tell till pipe is hear. Now the waiting game begins ........ Postie stalking begins in Ernst ( apply camouflage and dons ghille suite)
