I did it outside, because the smell of vinegar as it goes off is incredible. A 2:1 mix of caulk to cornflower will give about 30 mins moulding time. It's weird stuff, it's not sugru, but in lots of ways it's better. It dries real solid and you can colour it using oil paints. You can use it in moulds too, and I played around with making bespoke o rings, rubber bands, and gaskets. I am going to use it to make a made to measure gasket for my still.

Had a bash with oogoo today, brilliant, it's got it's challenges particularly air bubbles, but made a car-cup-holder box-mod-holder that weighs in at 205 g and that would be £66 with Sugru! Made some custom rubber bands that can be used to seal a kayfun air hole (to stop the liquid coming out in your pocket), as vape grips (to get tanks & mods apart) or grips on a mod. I used clear ToolStation Bath & Sanitary Silicon, some oil paint and Tesco Cornflour. I also found brown parcel tape is great for lining molds, stirrers and spreaders. Cheers seniorphil for the tip, this week I shall mostly be thinking what to oogoo next.

Defiantly gonna have a play with this stuff once its mixed his sticky is it to work with is blue tack consistency or Like a thick glue? Can you hand mould it? Sticky like silicon at first which makes it hard to get it where you want it either spreading (sticks to the applicator) or moulding (hard to push down without pulling it back up & it wont pour, may try a big syringe next time) hence the air bubbles, once it starts to cure its more workable (sticky like blutack), but you don't have much time depending on your ratio. If you need to cut it, it is easy as it's curing 20-30 mins after an hour it almost no go. There is a lot of potential with this stuff, I would pick a few rough and ready type things to do first to get a feel, especially if using colour. I have only had one session, 2 mixes so maybe typing rubbish, Phil has more experience and will probably correct my ramblings. Just taken out of mould

Very imprecessive VapingBad, I know what your bank holiday going to involve. I was practising with lots of different ideas a few months ago. I made some soap moulds for a friend so when she now makes soap, she has her logo impressed into the bars. They came out great and would of cost £100 to buy in. This guy makes his oogoo pourable with white spirits- m.instructables.com/id/Make-a-silicone-mold-from-common-household-materia/?ALLSTEPSIt really does need to be experimented with and I haven't had the time recently. Hackspace has some little pressure chambers for pushing out bubbles when casting but I haven't experimented with them yet. I made some silicon sheets with a gripping surface that would of made lovely wraps, but I gave it away to a girl who made an iPad cover/protector. I shall watch with interest.

Another one I want to experiment with is polymorph. A plastic that becomes mouldable in hot water, but sets quite solid a bit like polythene. Minor adjustments can be made with a hairdryer. VapingBad I can bring some polymorph to the London meet if you want some to play with.

Cheers seniorphil, but I might pick up 150g from Maplin when I'm passing as they seem to have made a mistake and priced it reasonably, I started think tiny mod, but heat could be an issue. Next time I'm going to try mixing with a filling knife on a flat surface instead of a plastic cup or maybe two syringes tapped together. I would like to do a skin for my box mod(s) and reckon that doing a sheet first will give the best result. Have you tried low and high modulus silicones with oogoo as they should make it more elastic or stiff?

No VapingBad, all my experiments were with a basic Toolstation silicon. I did try different mixes ie 2:1, 3:1 etc. Which seemed to affect the setting speed. I made a few pairs of bespoke shoe insoles for a few who were game for standing in the oogoo.

Interesting dagl, but looking at the end of the video I don't think you could use for anything apart from filling enclosures.

I use this stuff for sealing cable joints, can get it cheap enough from CEF. It doesn't set hard, it stays soft like a firm jelly, so I don't think it's suitable.
