Ramie Wicking.......

Hi Giys,
I have got some Ramie wicking, (got it as part of a trade), but have never used it. I was just wondering if anyone here has used it? And if so, what are your thought and advice on the stuff?

 Me ether so I google it and on POV it says  : tastes like soil , won`t wick well if bent and you have to juice it before putting it through your coil as it won`t twist. Sounds ace

I cant find it now but I have seen a test on the web which featured ramie, cotton wool and rayon. Basically in three tubes , one material in each tube then one end of the tubes immersed in a container of liquid and the ramie sucked up the liquid quickest

I may try and wrap up a standard type coil with it and put in a dripper - worth a little go I guess

They reckoned it was because of the straightness of the fibres in ramie

I'll have a crack with it in a few and report back - you just never know. . .
