I don't think you want to be vaping with nichrome. It contains nickel which if inhaled is toxic, or the oxide of nickel is toxic.
That's why I use kanthal.
(reworded so I don't look an a-hole)

I am sure it is used for most pre-made coils on the market, never heard anything bad about it though.....think people prefer kanthal as it's not so brittle and less chance of breaking. Maybe wrong as i have never used it i think

Kanthal heats up quicker than its ni-chrome counter part.

Nichrome is less resistive and softer to work with, also a lot of people reckon the vape tastes better.
Did you know too that kanthal is actually just a name of a company who makes wire? They make nichrome too
Toxic to inhale? Come on, seriously? You're never going to convince me that using nichrome is any worse than any other aspect of vaping.

I've been using Nichrome for well over two years with no problem on silica wick. I've also used Kanthal (mainly on mesh wicks) also with no problem. As mentioned, Nichrome is less resistive so you get more wraps of the same diameter wire for a given coil resistance, which can sometimes be useful. Some people claim to taste a difference between them but I can't say I've noticed any difference.

I can't use nichrome as I get a bad taste from it.
