Hi all, I'm wondering is there a way to take the i4 charger apart. I've gone and dropped mine and from what I can see the spring in one of the channels has come unhooked from the negative contact which makes it unable to pull that contact tight when a battery is inserted into that channel, does that make sense ? I don't want to go prizing it apart if it's not going to clip back together but I think if I can get inside I can repair it. I know I've still got three channels but I want all four working, OCD kicking in.

Happy days looks like the four rubber feet out, remove the screws and the jobs a good 'un. I'd be the same as you and I'd obviously convince myself the loose spring would magically jump across to the other contacts, cause a short and blow my house up

You've seen the movies. Now I'm going to tell the GF I am normal because there are others out there that think exactly like I do. I'm off to turn the charger off now and try the repair, I'll update soon

It's done and currently has an 18650 charging in that channel !!! It could have done with a blob of solder as the other springs are hooked over and soldered in place for extra security, For now though I'm sure it will be fine so long as I'm not heavy handed with it. Typical of this place, I post a thread and 30 minutes later I'm sorted Jay.
