This is the first RBA that I have seen in ages that has got me excited.

Love my Kraken (clones) with stainless steel rope they have the best lush dense flavour of anything I have tried, but just watched this and thinking yum reduced chamber, dual/single wicks, 4 ml tank, thin deck, 3.5 mm or 4.5 mm wick holes, air flow control and a fill hole stopper. For you doubters that like whit wicks see 14:30, I know its subjective and personal, but just cause I'm odd doesn't mean I'm the only one....

I can't imagine how well that wicks with dual 3.5 mm ss rope wit the thickness of the deck being so small, the Kraken has no trouble with 30 W with it's very thick deck and 2.5 mm wicks. Reckon I would have to halve my nic for this.

Probably going to be the 1st genesis to really shine with cotton wicks as genesis wick holes are designed for steel are too small as I have found with rayon in the Kraken.  As this has 4.5 mm holes for cotton type wicks and with the thin deck you should get mega winking, not the flavour from stainless steel, but it will probably give a lot of dippers a run for their money (not the extreme < 0.3 ohm).

I got a kraken from the classes on here and tbh I have never got to grips with it. I admit I have never tried mesh as I have no clue what to get or where to start with it. The whole idea of metal as a wick is bloody strange.

This is a great video for ss rope, it you want to do cotton or rayon make the coils slimmer as where they go through the deck it constrains them quite a bit.  I prefer ribbon kanthal, but it's more difficult to do.

N1 might dig that out the random bits draw and havev anouther looksie, think I have some ribbon wire in my toolbox. What mesh would you recommend for a 50/50 juice

Generally ppl recommend a lower # mesh for thicker juice, I vape 100 % PG and don't think it makes much if any diff when used with rope and after using ss rope I will never go back to all mesh wicks. I would start with round kanthal like the video as sometimes it can be a real PITA to work out the shorts with ribbon. If you don't have any 2 or 2.5 mm ss rope PM me your addy and I can post you some to get you going.

Cheers for the offer but I'll order some as I'll need to get mesh. Wasn't until I watched the vid I relized you literally meant ss rope.
I thought you were metaphorically referring to the rolled mesh as rope lol.
Does the 2.5 mm wick more juice?
And can you point me in the direction of a good vendor for it cheers.

2.5 mm will wick more, but is very tight so harder to build (shorts can quickly burn holes through the mesh) and you still get a cracking vape with 2 mm, they say 7x7 is better for thicker liquid. You don't need much mesh or rope as the last for ages, when you cut the rope wrap a couple of layers of brown envelope tightly around where you want to cut to stop it fraying. I use vape-atomizer-mesh.com, but have also used StalthVape & vapegear.co.uk in the past.

Hi. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I would like some info on this steel wire and mesh stuff. What's a good set up to start with? I have been working with various set ups with microcoils etc and fancy a new challenge
I have various mods but after disaster after disaster with all kinds of vv/vw mods I am now working mainly with my magneto and roller so needs to be compatible..
