Only one of my cats ever brings stuff in usually, he started with lumps of moss and bits of wood but now it's normally a mouse, vole, shrew, mole or something along those lines. He also often lets them go and enjoys watching me try to catch them! Haha

I once awoke to bird feathers all over the bed ??? after examining the bloodstains I finally found the head of a pigeon its torso was on the landing and its body parts on every step downstairs, its plumage was littered in every room so I can only assume it was an indoors fight to the death Although that little episode brought me less drama than the time he popped a mouse in my boots...............

Am sat here laughing away to myself at this thread, when all of a sudden my cat has just launched herself out the living room window and dive bombed into the bush directly under a tree that has a bird feeder swinging from it - with lots of little birds trying to feed from it!! Instant karma for my laughing She has yet to emerge - I've shut the window just incase she decides to bring a feathered friend home... The oddest thing she's brought in has to be a frog - I was sat here one night thinking what on earth is that weird noise? She was prowling by the computer desk....I get up to explore and a live frog hops out at me!! I had to catch it in a carrier bag and release it well away from her. She used to bring stuff in all the time, if you tried to get it off her she'd actually growl at you! Gotta love 'em

I came in the house to find feathers everywhere, the cat had brought in a partridge and let it go hahaha. Took a bit to catch the thing, bloody strong for its size too but anyway, caught it and let it go eventually.

Izzy doesn't catch anything, she's a house cat. My previous mog Zak, was a holy terror for bringing birds in as food for me and meowing his head off to advertise it (he never meowed a mew any other time).

As an aside, like everyone does I got my new kitty a bunch of toys to play with, especially as I'd be out during the day and she's a house puss so needed stuff to do. I've since found out what her favourite toys in the building are. A cardboard box (cats love boxes), plaggy bag, and a pencil. We play this game where I put a pencil on the table, she picks it up and drops it on the floor, then loses interest only to jump in the cardy box and rip the sides off. PetsRUs? Peh! edit : Oh, and string. She tore bits of rope off the cat claw tree thing and happily spends ages killing them, like very small thin mice.

the little ones - nothing - as they can't go out - our Ben only once brought 2 dead baby mice - otherwise he was too lazy and preferred food in the bowl but what I really like is that sooooooooo many members have cats and/or other animals - another great thing, that speaks for this forum

WOW! that would be a bit of a shocker
Reminds me of when my brother and I were visiting family in the South Pacific, he's older than me but has always been an absolute girls blouse over spiders, I always had to go and rescue him from them.... Anyways one day we were sat in the lounge and out the corner of my eye I saw a sand crab come scuttling in, it zipped across the tiled floor, its claws clattering and my 20 year old big strong brother though it was some exotic massive tarantula and literally ran up the curtains screaming! classic!

My dear Merlin (RIP) used to bring in snails - he was never the quickest of cats so it was all he could catch On the other hand (paw) the Coonies have dragged in rabbits, squirrels, rats .......
