Thanks. They are both quite a bit more expensive than the one I was looking at though. Is there a major difference between them , other than being able to charge more than one battery at once?

the nitecore i2 is a cheaper alternative to the i4. Can charge 2 batteries at a time instead of 4. MyEPAck sell this one as well if cst is an issue

They have overcharge protection visual indicator of charge status and are a lot better quality.

hmmm this one is only a couple quid more XTAR WP2II Intelligent Charger. I presume the intelligent part is the overcharge protection?

How mcu are you paying for the xtar? The nitecore i2 can be bought for under £13, and can charge li ion imr ni cad and NiMH batteries, while the xtar can only charge lithiums. The extra flexability is nice. Another thing I dont really like about the xtar is it's cutoff voltage. It's a bit too high for lower capacity batteries such as 18350s.

it's 9 quid. It doesn't say anything on the description about only charging lithium batteries. I only have one battery sony vtc 5 18650 which I think is l-ion . On the page it lists this battery as related product so I am assuming it will work?

yes, it will work fine for Li-ion batteries. Was only pointing out that the nitecore will charge other types as well if this was something that would be of use to you.

Lithium ions are fine, the normal ecig type battery. I only mentioned other types because the nitecore can charge your regular rechargable AA AAA and C batteries for remotes, cameras, toys etc, just in case this extra ability was of interest.
