What gets my back up about this is,"Having gone through e-cigarettes,children are going on to the real thing, which is what the tobacco companies want of course" bollocks. I have seen this statement in a few times in the Press and the News, and it really pisses me off.I smoked for 30 year, and if Vaping was about 30 year ago,and I started that first,i would never have smoked. Also she was a leading campaigner in the Introduction of the Smoking Ban,i never thought they could ban smoking, but they did.Could she get her way again? ???

unfortunately as more people start using ecigs the more it will come in to the public eye there will be more idiots who will sit on a bus,in a restaurant,in a shop or a pub who will suck a way on a £20 ecig got from corner shop saying its not against the law sod off(or words to that effect) at some point it will be banished from public places in a blanket ban like stinkies is it a bad thing not relay give us more chance to get smokers on to them(time talking havein a quick fag out side the pub) also although it may be better for us than smoking we still inhale stuffs and until vapeing has been round long term we will not know the true helth gains/probs
owww i like how all lung cancer is blamed on fags and not cars, power stations ect

Good report on the "danger" of passive vaping here, if anyone's not seen it.. The conclusion- we can conclude by saying that it could be more unhealthy to breath air in big cities compared to staying in the same room with someone who is vaping.

Can anyone tell me how can they prove that him or anyone was killed by passive smoking and not just from pollution from cars or something they worked with in earlier life?? or do they just use passive smoking as an excuse because they have no idea what caused it?? many years ago long before H&S I used to work at Firestone Tyres in Brentford, two chemicals were used extensively Tricoethylene and Benzene, we used to wash our hands in the stuff, handle it all day during our 8 to 12 hour shifts, go for a fag with our hands covered in it and even eat our sandwiches, now both chemicals are known as highly carcinogenic and I believe banned, a lot of the people that worked there were long term employees 20 years plus was nothing, I was the boy at only ten years, in all that time only one person I know of died from Cancer and he was a very heavy smoker, years later I heard a few more had died from cancer and as non smokers they put it down to passive smoking, even though their medical history said that they had worked with carcinogenic chemicals, it's now one reason I don't believe that passive smoking is to blame, I started smoking when I was around nine years old, (yea I know bad boy) at 15 I was on 20 a day, and by the time I was 30 I was on 60 a day, I managed to give up for five years and when I started again I stayed at 20 a day plus the odd rollie until I discovered E/cigs and I gave up the cigs instantly, add that to the Chemicals I've worked with over the years I shouldn't even be here, but I am and apart from type 2 diabetes my Dr says I'm healthier that a lot or the 20 year olds he sees an have the constitution of an Ox, is there just something in our DNA and Genes that makes us prone to Cancer? I don't know! but I do know that a lot of the people I've known die from it have been non smokers or worked in industries that have used Chemicals now deemed unsafe,,

Sorry about Roy but...
"“I would be very happy if they were banned,” she says. “They contain a lot of nicotine, which is what causes addiction. Also I’m concerned about the different flavours which appeal to young people.
“Having gone through e-cigarettes, children are going on to the real thing, which is what the tobacco companies want of course.”
