Hi opensecret You picked the ideal kit there to try out, They work really well. vapour will drop off or taste a bit off when the coil needs changing, just be aware that sometimes you can get a bad coil that will only last a couple of days, sometimes they wont work at all. They can be a bit hit and miss, that's why many make their own, but I wouldn't try that straight away, just use the factory mades until you think you need something better. The batteries should last 6-8 hours or longer if you use them less (obviously) so if your going out for the day, take the spare with you. Good luck, Im sure you will knock those stinkies on the head.

Thanks everyone for all the help and support! Very much appreciated! Another few questions before I hit the buy button (sorry, kinda skeptical ): - I've seen a lot of talk regarding the ohms rating of the coil heads. I was wondering if I could get some input on which one I should get to start with. I'm really struggling and kinda scared to start buying from these juice sites as well. I've never heard of them before and some sell 10ml for £2 and then some can go up to £6 for just 10ml. I don't know what is legit etc.

The sites I listed are all legit also do check out the approved vendor's area for discount codes and reviews etc. 1.8 ohm coil is good to aim for Juice prices vary greatly from 1.50 a10mil bottle for cheap Chinese genetic stuff to upwards of £10 for 10 mil of artisan juice This vendor has some beautiful juices but they are on the higher price end www.mrslord.co.uk/index.php/nicotine-liquids.htmlWhen buying anything online make sure that they have a physical address and telephone no to contact them. Good luck with your choices you've done well so far

Welcome opensecretYou are wise to swap rollies for vaping. Having read how much tobacco you got through, you won't be needing 3-5ml a day - not on standard kind of kit. I never got above 2ml until I dropped to 6mg and discovered mini Nautilus.

opensecret - hi and a warm from me too Great choice of kit, and Chef's Vapour, T-Juice or Decadent Vapours are all good tried and trusted sites - check the discount codes for typically 10% off. 3-5ml of juice per day will be ample, although you may use a bit more as you play around and get used to the vapouriser. 60ml of juice (ideally in 10ml tester bottles) will easily see you through 2 weeks. Be warned - finding juices that you really like will become an obsession, but it's always good to have 3 or 4 different flavours on the go si that your tastebuds are always being refreshed. For that reason, you would be wise to get another couple of tanks fairly soon so that you don't have to keep on changing over juices, with the attendant rinsing and refilling business. Best of luck, and get that 'Pay Now' button pressed!! Let us know how you get on

Hiya opensecret and to AAEC. Some great advice already given and regarding eliquid try HERE for decent but cheap stuff to get you started. I'd advise going for 18mg strength at first, if you find it too harsh then drop down to 12mg and if 18mg isn't enough then up it to 24mg. Also remember that most juices are made fresh to order if you buy online and may require a little steep (leaving the juice for a few days to a few weeks for it to mature to get the best out of it)

Pg and VG is a personal thing pg gives more throat hit/bite VG adds a subtle sweetness and a lot more vapour/cloud. A lot of highly commercial juices are 80/20. Pg/VG I make a lot of my own eliquids and I found I like higher VG so I go for 50/50 Good choice on the liquid companies. Steeping for some juices is not really needed things like tobacco/custards and complex bakery types defiantly benefit from steeping. Hear is a great explanation on steeping allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/29088/understanding-steeping?page=1&scrollTo=524703With bought e liquids I normally have a try and if they great use if they seem harsh or you feel the taste is not right put in a draw for a few weeks and come back to it. Try to give your juice a daily shake as well. Hope that helps

A lot of companies bottle their liquid in batches which means by the time you get it, it is already steeped.
Dekang (from Myepack) won't need steeping. T-juice shouldn't need steeping either (unless you buy the concentrate and mix your own)
joes juice mix to order, and so benefit from steeping. Things like most fruit flavours are steeped enough during postage time.
If in doubt, ask the vendor if they need steeping.

ey up opensecret LT are a very good juice supplier (try their RY4, it's really nice) some of theirs will need steeping, some won't. Check the mix dates on the bottles if they are on there, if younger than 2 weeks, let 'em steep . Joosejuice may not have many reviews (surprised at that, maybe you didn't go back far enough to find them) but they are a top quality supplier as many peeps on here will testify to, DO NOT be put off by the cheap prices - it's quality juice but WILL need steeping p.s. create an account on LT, sign in, then you can use discount code LT10 at the checkout, but you must be signed in to use it

Just to add, mints and menthols will be pretty much ready to vape as soon as they land.
“But I never liked menthol fags“ I hear you say. Doesn't matter, I'd still recommend you get some, as when you get vapers tongue (when everything tastes rubbish, and it will happen) a mint or menthol can reset your mouth. As can a glass of milk!

What I like about you opensecret is that you've done your homework and are now asking the difficult questions. I'm not going to reply to them as I'm a bit different (ask anyone LOL) but I'm sure someone will be along soon to help. Just want to say a warm welcome to the wonderful world of vaping though you may want to check with your uni if it's ok to vape on site. If not there's the toilets (higher PG concentration will make this easier - less clouds - more throat hit) Also be aware that though vaping is similar to smoking it's not quite the same action so if you choke yourself on first inhale it's because you are not using it right not because 'it's too strong' Hope that helps
