I bet he will claim his twitter account was hacked & I also, very sadly, guess he will be believed

However, the fact that he lost it to a certain degree in the radio shows & then his tweets slowly (to begin with) declined into abuse & utter nonsense, should be proof enough that it was John Ashton tweeting & not a hacker.

He should be instantly dismissed from his post!

He knows full well that vapers are not in the pocket of big tobacco, but its a tried and tested argument that's been used long before vaping.

The one thing ecigs are doing to a level that's never been seen before is expose many people in Public Health are willing to lie and manipulate for their beliefs. Beliefs that trump facts and science. They play dirty and will sink to any level to get their way.

When will these people realise that vapers & smokers are the real victims of the tobacco industry and not the bystanders, we sucked in that extra virgin toxic gas for years and most of the smokers are going to continue after your scaremongering. Some don't seem to care at all about our and the smokers that could switch to vaping's health as long as they don't have to see vapour or steam . I am so saddened by the view which the Prof. subscribes to that all vapers are in the pockets of big T. When will twats like him realise that we are a large and growing body of people who have seen the light and are forsaking tobacco for a safer and healthier (sic.) way of getting our nicotine.

I've just listened to the Radio 2 interview ( and will be listening to the world service one very soon ) and Professor Ashton started the interview being antagonistic by calling SIR Clive Bates , Mr Bates, whereas SIR Clive Bates called him professor.
I seems as though professor Ashton hasn't been any kind of scientist for some time, as he seems to have learnt the way of just talking over people , even the host for quite some time , it comes to something when Jeremy Vine has to shout to get him to stop talking and let Sir Clive Bates actually speak.
Advertising to children ? Where has this been , I'm sure it would have been plastered everywhere if it had REALLY happened , no proof.Leading to blindness , he totally lost that argument , as Sir Clive Bates's reply was , why haven't we seen a high percentage of smokers going blind.

Then just to cap it off after those two had finished , Jeremy Vine spoke to a 82 year old woman and even she said that E-Cigs aren't sold to children as there are signs saying "Over 18's Only" on shops , so that's wrong.

The people I feel sorry for are, the people he works with, the people that work for him and his family.IF he had proof in what he was saying and he would need some kind study at the very least.

Now off to listen the World service interview.
