Hi there Been using the evod glass for a few weeks (standard kit setup). Trying out juices to find the right ones for me. Current favourites are Crystal Menthol, Jack Ripple, Melon of Troy. Would like to find a nice caramel flavour - any suggestions? Main questions (based on reasonable usage - maybe a full tank per day) Tips and suggestions for getting the most life out of the coil? How often to clean the coil? How often to replace the coil? What to look out for (burnt taste, less satisfying)? Gurgling and popping particularly if unused for a while? Normal? Are the kangar dual coils reasonably easy to rebuild? Are there any videos around? Seems all too fiddly to me (and my DIY skills are not good!!) Finally, seem on myepack that the dual coils have recently been upgraded (v3?) with mixed reviews. Any opinions here? Mine have the wicks poking out either side - which version is that? Sorry if this is all very basic stuff - but you seem to be a friendly bunch

I use The Glass with the coils you are using they are pretty good, stay away from the upgraded ones with the enclosed wicks, I had three and the longest one lasted was three days even with cleaning, the old ones with regular cleaning can last me a month or more, and looking at the upgraded ones I'm not even sure you can re-coil them, I use Blueberry juice which is quite thin but I've seen reports of people using heavier juices only getting a few hours out of the upgraded coils,, so stick with these ones myepack.co.uk/accessories/protank-evod-coil-head.htmlMow,,,

Sorry Argg I miss led you there, they are the ones I use, not the ones in my link, they fit several diifferent tanks as far as I can work out, If you want top notch coils that are easy to re-wick Jonco on here does a Unicoil, and it seems they are the dogs Danglies, they are about twice the price of MyEpack but I'm finding out very quickly, you get what you pay for with anything to do with Vaping, I'm sure someone will put a link on for Jonco's coils, they are next on my must buy list,,

Sorry if this is all very basic stuff - but you seem to be a friendly bunch Kanger duel coil heads V1 - wicks exposed (these are yours) V2 - wicks enclosed - two small holes either side of the head for wicking V3 - wicks enclosed - one larger slit on either side of the head for wicking I have used the last two interchangeably recently and not really noticed any difference- but I do like the vape from these heads and I have had very few issues (far less than say the Aspire BDC heads I used to use where you were lucky to get 3 working heads from a pack of 5). Lots of people seem to prefer the V1 heads and you can recoil these which you can not easily with the V2 or V3 - all I can comment is I had the original V1 heads in a Protank 3 when it was first released and they were awful and flooded at a moments notice - that of course may have been the tank and not the heads but I was put off for life and from Kanger for a good few months (until the aerotank mega drew me back in)

welcome to the aaec, I would also recommend the jonco unicoil, I'm a heavy vaper and the unicoil last me a good 5/6 days, then a quick re-wick and there good to go again. One of best bits of vaping gear I have ever bought imho.

Thanks all -it's beginning to make a bit more sense now
Will check out the jonco unicoil
Being cynical have Kangar changed the design to make them less rebuild able so you have to buy more??

Another +1 for the Virtual Vape coils. Much better vape than the stock kanger coils and you dont need to re coil just take the cotton out and put some new cotton in. Sent from me from some far away land.

I change the wick on standard coils, using cotton wool and a bent wire to pull the first bit through. Dry-burn first. Heads seem to last forever that way, at least with the 100% PG juice I use.
