Heads, return the effin' thing or Tails, to drill, tap and fit new screw ... coin has yet to land Recommendations??

Contact them, complain loudly, ask for a replacement to be sent immediately and quickly and when it arrives fix the duff one? Not sure this will work, so I'd send it back I think cos like Clivia, I'm not that technical and it'd end up in bits Not helpful really

Put a screwdriver in the screw head with the atty supported on a stand (on block of wood with 9 mm hole) and tap the screwdriver lightly with a hammer, then try and undo. If that doesn't work, start a DOA claim with FT and the chances are they will just send you that part of the atty (they did for me with Kraken prob) than you can take drastic action with no risk.
E: I would wait until they confirm a replacement before taking drastic action.

I'd say complain, if no replacement, try heat, cold, WD-40 to remove screw but be prepared for it being stripped/ wrecking threads in the process, wait for replacement while swearing a lot.
