Thanks ronaldo I'll be keeping them either as spares or extras I think. But ordering a couple of those panasonics for the VTR. So I know, why does it need unprotected batteries? What's the difference between protected and unprotected.....apart from protection! I mean, what does protection mean/do and why don't I need it for the VTR? Don't understand this electrickery stuff, hence I'll never, ever get a mech mod.....I'd blow myself up

the easy answer is because you are already protected by the circuit board in the mod if the mod has a circuit board you need unprotected no circuit board you need protected a protected battery has a circuit board built in and two circuit boards cause confusion

Hang on a bit ronaldo I'll do a bit more googling, might come up with better, nearer or cheaper edit scrap that, can't find anything nearer or cheaper that doesn't use D cell batteries!

ronaldo will be OK, but those camping lights could cause over-discharge with unprotected batteries, could easily put a protection circuit in them to cut out at 3V. you know me mate I will make some protected circuits and fit them in so they go off at 3.03V I have the knowledge and it wont take long to make them

Good link though as I needed one For a quid Ive ordered one so if you never hear from me again they are rubbish and my house burnt down
