Firstly - huge thanks to everyone here, I have been reading the forums all day to learn.
Ok so I am finding out more about these vapour things for my Hubby, who doesn't 'do' computers!
Background - he currently smokes 20 ciggerettes a day and has smoked for over 35 years. He is a truck driver on nights. He has previously tried giving up smoking with patches, gum, and cold turkey, every time he goes back to it. But as he is getting older he is worrying more about his health (and his pocket! seriously! when did a pack of 20 get up to nearly £8??? I quit 14 years ago and it was less than half that!!!!!) He has previously tried to cut down/ give up with elite type of e cig, but didn't find it satisfying - also the battery life was pants and he would run out when driving and stop to get some fags :-(
So after spending all day reading up about them I think we have a shopping list and this is what I need feedback on
Need - 1. a large tank - so he only refills it once a day (well actually so I can do it for him, any percieved 'faff' with the system and he will go and buy fags 2. a large battery - it has to last all day, even tho he is in a truck and has charging capabilities there - you got it any percieved faff etc etc 3. reasonable running costs - no probs with juice, thanks to the forum I am all up on the best places to buy and what strength and Pg to VG ratios :-) but what about replacement coils/heads - I have read that some are awful and you are getting through them in 2-3 days and some last a month - help!
shopping list - 1. looking at the aspire Nautilus 5ml tank read that coil last well however have also read that it leaks! arghhh - can't have a leak in a truck :-(
2. a high capacity v v battery - looking at vision spinner 2 - but concerned about size in comparision to tank, it seems long and thin 1650 evod twist 1600 - better size wise aspire cf 1600
would I be better going for cheaper models and getting 2 or more?
what would people recommend, that won't break the bank (budget is around £50 for hardware), will last a fussy so and so all day (well all night) with little intervention and will deliver the hit he needs to finally kick the nasty smelly habit?

Welcome pixelShame about the E-Lites. I tried them, they not only cost me £100s but nearly my job and marriage. They are useless and shouldn't be on sale. If I may say, a 5ml tank is not necessary. However, if you can find one, why not. Ideally, even a 1300 or 1600 isn't really up to much compared to an 18650 mod with a battery. You can either get a tube (Vamo, SID, EVIC, etc) or a box (MVP, VTR). There is also a new type of high power box on the market. If I had £50 tomorrow, I'd get an MVP from myepack and a mini Nautilus as well. Even people who upgrade from MVP still love it and use it.

Hi pixel welcome to the forum.
It looks like you are going to have your hands full keeping everything maintained
Oh dear where to start. Ive not come across many tanks that are faff free, they all can play up sometimes, and I think this could lead to your hubby grabbing a packet of cigs to keep him going until you sort it out. The aspire is not a bad choice, unfortunately as you have read these factory made heads that go in them can be a bit hit and miss. The aerotank is a another choice, I have used one of these for about 4 months and it has never leaked, but can suffer again from the bad factory heads from time to time. The large 5ml tanks may look odd on the thin spinner type batteries( I have a pic of a 3ml tank on a thin type battery)
So a 5ml tank is going to look like a lollipop on a stick.
Maybe you could get 2 or 3 of the mini tanks and send him off with them in a bag filled up ready to change over when they run out.
The MVP like suggested above which has a large battery 2600mah and will take a bigger tank and costs a lot less.MVP2 This would probably be best as its a good low cost device.

Have to say as well pixel . . . I don't find that flavours are brilliant in a great big tank, they seem to be muted until you get about half way down. Not entirely sure why this should be - but they're just not for me. 3ml is about as large as I go, which would last your OH a good few hours before a refill.

Hi pixel and a huge to the forum. Firstly, to you for kicking the habit 14 years ago. I would definitely agree with the MVP, the battery should last hubby all night easily. To go with that, I would get a couple of Aerotanks. You could send him off with both of them full, then if one of them is empty, all he needs to do is unscrew the empty one and screw on the new full one. Easier than getting a fag out of the packet and lighting it You mentioned you know what strength & ratio juice you need to get for him, but if it helps confirm your thoughts, I'd go with 24mg 70/30

hi and welcome pixel +1 for the mvp - that and the nautilus and he is sorted - all at myepack - and to try out various liquids - try juicejoose just keep in mind that their liquids need steeping - and if you like one and buy a 30ml bottle you actually get 60ml

If you want tanks that are not so much hassle and relatively leak free go for the Nature Vape Mini or Midi Pro. He will get a very satisfying vape from these tanks. The Midi Pro holds 4ml. Two of them and an MVP would be a bit more than fifty pounds but IMHO it would be the ideal starter.

Have to agree with the above about the MVP, I got mine a week ago from MyEpack, I got the MVP with the iClear 30s tank, a spare iClear 30s tank and two spare coils all for £49,96, and I can't fault it at all, it gives a great Vape, all my juices taste ten times better, as for battery life the thing is never out of my mouth from around 9am till 2pm and I'm getting two days out of one charge, I think mine takes around four hours to charge but I've been told that if you plug it in to a USB you can use it while your charging, I still don't think they are the prettiest looking thing with the iClear 30s tank on but I'm getting used to the look, and if you look on here and see how many seasoned vapors are using them, it tells you how good they are, I was on 20 a day plus roll ups and stopped smoking the day I started Vaping and I've been smoking for over 50 years, I started with Tobacco juices but after two days I didn't like them at all and went over to the fruit flavours, your OH will only give up the Cigs if he really wants to, but I'm sure anyone here will tell you after just a couple of weeks he will feel a lot healthier and have more energy, and you'll get no more stinky Snogs,,,,
