Because we use a caravan most of the summer, by necessity I have 2 of everything. Plus back ups ofcourse!
Recently my home use XTAR Charger went on the blink, well it is 2 years old now, and so I have had to start using the caravan (XTAR) charger.
So I am now looking to buy a new charger, perhaps two.
Any recommendations?

Torchy sales@torchythebatteryboy.com had Xtar SP2 for £15 delivered a week or two ago and probably still has them, they don't do 18350, here is a review for the details of the charger.

Thanks for that VapingBad. I notice on the review that it is showing a continental plug. Do UK ones come with a UK Mains Plug? Also, does anyone recommend any different makes of charger?

I'll always recommend the Nitecore D2/D4 or I2/I4. They also work from a 12V lead, which is supplied in the box.

Thanks Ripshod. I have an Intelligent i2 charger that I got in a member's buy some time ago. It came with a continental mains plug but I have found that it works with a XTAR UK Mains Plug. It won't charge my small Billet Box batteries as these are too small for the i2, but it does an admiral job of the rest of my batteries.

I've never heard of a package without the 12V lead. Strange?? [Gets ready for the influx of comments from those without the lead]

I got a couple of Nitecore i2's from fast tech that came with 12v leads. they also sell the same charger without the 12v lead. withwithout

Well now you have Ripshod - twice. Mine neither. I've just bought a usb type charger, Xtar MC2 I think, for about a tenner from ecolux on ebay. Great little thing and much more portable than my Nitecore for trips.

Its got the socket to plug a 12 V lead into it but it never came with the lead. Got it from myepack and wasn't expecting it to come with the 12 V one. Not too fussed about it as I can't see myself using it in the car anyway. I'm sure I saw someone else on here other than mev saying it comes in two versions ie with 12V lead and without, can't remember who it was though. Still a good wee charger though.

Do the ones without the leads come without the proper boxes?
If they have boxes is there an empty space in the plastic tray?
But like I said, I only get nitecore chargers from nitecore. And as far as I can find out they only supply them complete!

Make that 3 , my I4 didn't come with a 12V lead either.

Bloomin' heck Perpetua. That's a hum dinger!!! Actually I have been experimenting with the Intelligent i2 and it is working well with the mains charging lead for the XTAR. So I expect it will do the same with the XTAR 12v lead, but I have yet to try that. It is also now charging my 18350 batteries and doesn't need the screw in adapters. My caravan has a 12v circuit and I have the necessary adapter that I can plug a 12v cigar type socket into that. Just covering all angles so that I can charge all my batteries anywhere. I certainly don't need the i4 as I am never charging more than 2 batteries at a time, but if I decide to go for another i2, I will need to consider getting a 2 pin to UK plug adapter. Perhaps a Shaving Plug would do.
