Hi everyone. I have w new toy today the Dicodes Dani (love it so far!) and it has the option to set the point at which the mod will reduce power supplied to the coil.
i am currently using Efest IMR 18650 and 18490 v2 batteries. It never had to worry before about setting anything to do with the battery as my zmax's usually cut off at 3.4volts.
the Dani comes with it set at 3v default, not sure if I should change this, any thoughts?

Mrsmac geordiepoints you to the right people I'd imagine 3v is fine if that's the default but I really don't know, maybe set it at 3.4 for now which will be fine until the battery gurus turn up At least then you know your safe pending the definitive.

The higher you set it Mrsmac the less you'll stress the battery and the longer it'll last you (lifetime, not charge) I consider 3.2V to be the limit (personally) but certainly no harm setting it at 3.4 tagging hijack

Efest themselves state that the max discharge should be 2.5V, so 3 V should be fine. 3V probably a safer bet since we all know battery manufacturers love to overstate specs. Anyway, lower voltages wont vape as well even on VV mods, so I;d go a bit higher than that on E-cigs. 3.2-3.4 seems a good choice. Can take lower on torches etc.

Thanks guys for responding, with the zmax's it cuts out at 3.4 and with the mechs, the vape is once it drops from 3.7. So far I'm seeing 3.0 to 3.2 roughly and I should be ok. I hoe I have read the manual right and that is where it will shut off Dan are you around as well? I know you have had the Dani and who is the other person not sure if it is smifee or scooby

3v is a safe level to set it to but I would change it to3.2v myself as it is better for your batteries

I use efest 18490s and the battery cutoff is set to 2.6v. yes you'll get more lifetime out of the batteries if you set it to 3v or 3.2v but it's not as if batteries will break the bank.. I'd rather get the most out of a £150 device per charge than a £7 battery I usually change batteries when the power reduces but haven't taken the time to check what that is lol bare in mind.. the sb is an "under load" reading so the true voltage won't actually be that low
