Got home from hols yesterday hurting like hell as little one had run us ragged and my poor leg is swollen like a balloon. The good lady's birthday today had a nice tapas kunch , wasent easy as I was dosed up on morphine and struggled to enjoy all the lovely grub. Get bk home and the broadband router starts crapping out. Bare in mind little one is very routine orientated due to her autism and she always goes on line to watch TV idents and 118 adverts ( her latest fictation) least she's stopped hacking my eBay account lol. So try every test on router I can think of including different filters cables etc. Test it in master socket still no joy. Tried a different router new cables and other filters nowt else plugged in you guess it no joy. Leg even more swollen and I'm getting wound up. Ring sky tell me to change channel on router from auto to channel 3 then to reset it. ERM Mr sky person that justbresets it bknto default?????? They promise to call bk in 1 hour. 90 mins later noncall ring them. Assbandit on phone says my account access password is wrong ( it was right 90 mins ago ffs) Have to drag myself upstairs so Mrs can sort him out with financial proof then he bloody hangs up!!!!! Ring bk and now I'm pissed off finally get a helpful person and yes my password was right and I did have authority on the at Grrrrr Little one still not settled as her routine is out of kilter. got to wait whilst they do a 24 hour test and then BT lot can tell sky lot why its gone belly up. First time in 6 months iI wanted a ciggie. Sitting here leg up dripping full str pluid with a large brandy and a shot of oramorph. Sos needed to vent before I killed someone.

Damn, I know your pain with IT helplines.
To be honest, It's not the people on the phone to blame. They are generally people desperate for jobs, students, long term unemployed, people between careers etc who end up in these jobs. They rarely have any IT knowledge, are given little to no technical training and are forced to follow a scripted database system which treat both employee and customer as idiots.
I know, I did the job for a while. Got disciplined for not following the scripted database, but instead using my own knowledge and experience to sort the issue. Even though I left copious notes of steps taken to resolve the problem.
Basically, blame profit driven suits for the crappy service.
Sorry to hear about the leg. Just recovering from almost a week of toilet slavery myself. MY butt became a Johnny Cash tribute act "It burns burns burns..the ring of fire"
Hope all your problems are sorted out tomorrow.

I keep some 36mg juice for just such days.
I think I have used it twice in the last two years but it is nice to know it's there, just in case.
Better to blow my head off with a few tokes of that than to reach for a ciggy.

Agree with keeping something a little stronger around. Though I'm sure the oramorph helps take the edge off things I remember about 2yrs ago getting plastered on 80ml of strawberry flavoured oramorph and 60mg diazepam... Oh the old crazy days, hehe Hope things get a little better buddy
