Maybe I was just unlucky but this is what happened to my topcap when the pin got screwed up =( Used to have to use it with a 510 to ego adapter just for any atty to make contact!!! But each to their own, just giving my personal first hand experience.

Marcus I'd just buy a new top cap Bargain vapour did have them - don't know if they still do? Shouldn't be much - no more than £15 a guess. Kind of worrying what happened to your top cap but most can be fixed by prizing up a little with a bead awl

Thank you for the suggestion but to be fair it's just not used anymore. Am going to see about giving it away or offering it in the PIC, it still works and now I know new topcaps can be had hopefully someone can give it a home!

Magnetos not a bad shout (aside form the issue mentioned above) and can be had for clone money. everyone I know that has one has enjoyed it. A good entry to mechanival mods and won't break the bank.
But..
If you want to spend more there is better available out there
My current favourite set up is my copper luxe hybrid dripper which is an awsome little device with tons and tons of flavour available from the single coil dripper. A fantastic switch and all made in the UK
Paps, vanilla, gus, leo all come up second hand for decent money and are all good starter mods
With a mech it's so simple and so little to fiddle with you can just enjoy a decent vape from a well built coil and set up
For your first rebuildable a kayfun lite is a good shout too easy to build tons and tons of info online to help you familiarise yourself with the process.
You must use your multi meter though and maintain the mod with simple basic maintenance as stated previously

Can get the infinite copper cartel LE for £30 from onestopmodshop and that's a frickin sweet mech with all 3 tubes. I personally much prefer single sided tubes.
If you want a cheap authentic then the new aethertech VCO Is only $65 (same people who made the plumeveil) or the new mad industries colonial can be had for little over £70,though the cigreen clone is a spot on 1:1 And I just picked one up from a Facebook group buy for £26
Soo many choices out there TBH...

Thanks for all the good advice. I'm now thinking either a Stingray or Nemesis which seem to get good reviews. Any pointers to good vendors ?
Regards RBA's, are all the good ones bottom coil ? I have used Evod's and Protanks on my Vamo and really dont like them compared to my top coil Vivi's and iclears.

Also, the stingray X by SXK/infinite is by far one of the best clones I have ever used. Just as good as the authentic and one of the lowest vintage drops. Also comes with a hybrid cap to give you that sleak "one piece" look

Be aware that once you're used to the size reduction gained through junking the electronics, it's quite hard to go back to the benefits of a stable power level. I wager that trying an eleaf istick or a Vaporshark DNA 30 might change your mind on that one Smaller still with stable and variable power

I wager that trying an eleaf istick or a Vaporshark DNA 30 might change your mind on that one Smaller still with stable and variable power I had to look up www.eleafworld.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=154 Wow... 75mm length... that's the same as my 18650 OB Fortune Mod and an extra 200 mAh when new. Most impressive. I wonder how long it would survive the inevitable seepage of juice / occasional drops and whether or not it's an easy battery replacement... But then for 40 USD (I think, unless I'm seeing US adverts for clones) it's in the high-end disposable place. Shouldn't it be 22mm wide? That said, I could be tempted... Almost... I quite like the idea of building my own box mod, though... something to sit on my desk with an RDA on those long winter evenings partaking in this community.

Oh my - there we have that overwhelming choice thing again. Don't forget the classifieds.
