Got a Kayfun 3.1 today, made up a 0.9ohm coil and used cotton wick....man what a difference, lots of flavour, lots of vapour, nice warm vape, i'm definately a convert to mechanical mods and rebuildable's....already wondering what next ?

Thanks for all the advice, some of it will still be useful for later as I will probably soon get another mod. Just to update, I called into a local B&M today and among a lot of expensive mods they had a Nemesis clone which I picked up, it was the only mod they had within budget. There are a few things that are not quite 100% about it, such a rough threads and the bottom switch can feel a bit clunky unless pressed dead center, but it vapes well and I am happy for now. Next on the list is either a RBA or RDA...or both.

Thanks for all the good advice. I'm now thinking either a Stingray or Nemesis which seem to get good reviews. Any pointers to good vendors ?
Regards RBA's, are all the good ones bottom coil ? I have used Evod's and Protanks on my Vamo and really dont like them compared to my top coil Vivi's and iclears.

Hi thanks, ive pm'ed about the Magneto. I have a multimeter so will be able to test resistance. I see on here that most people that change to a mechanical seem to reckon it was a good move. I am already recoiling my Vivi Nova's ( i prefer top coil to bottom coil ), but what would work best with something like a Magneto that is relatively easy to recoil/rewick, doesnt leak, etc etc

I started with an ego kit but quickly changed to a Vamo V2. Unfortunately the Vamo screen is not displaying anymore and I have sticking button, so on the look out for a new mod, think I will go mechanical this time. Is there such a thing as a good really cheap mechanical mod ? Any advice on a starter mod/kit most welcome.

Thought I would update.
The strangest thing happened. After trying all my clearos, changing coils, even bought two new clearos to try, changing batteries, and still getting a burnt taste at low wattage, got up this morning and the Vamo is vaping perfectly, and on all clearos. Dont know how or why.
I had contacted the vendor, they replied that they were sending me out a new Vamo and a pre-paid envelope to return the problematic one ( great customer service ) but I have cancelled that now as this one is working fine now.

changed coils to new ones and still the same
it is set to No2 the RMS mode

Have RY4 in both an iclear and a Vivi Nova, tried both. Now you mention it, it is only the iclear where the mouthpiece gets warm, but the burnt taste is even worse in the Vivi Nova

My new Vamo v2 just arrived today and there are few things i would like to ask about general use of it.
I usually vape my favourite juice RY4 on either my evod or on my itaste v3.0 set at 7.5 watts. However, on the Vamo at this setting the vape is too warm and there is a slightly burnt taste. Even at 6.0 watts I get this brunt taste, and even the mouth piece gets warm.
I am using a SenyBor 3100 protected battey and am wondering if this has something to do with it ? I know most people say to use unprotected batteries, but I have loads of these SennyBor's and others have said they use them no problem, there have plenty of current for a Vamo.
Or is it just the case that I may find that on different devices I have to use different wattages to get the sweetspot ?

ok, so it might not be a case of having a favourite flavour and being able to stick to it for ever, change is necessary ? so do most of you keep adding new flavours and droping "old favourites"
yes, coils changed and even on new clearomizers the taste just isnt the same as before

how long do you leave a flavour before going back to it
i would maybe use a mint or menthol flavour for a full day before going back to one of my favourites but it doesnt seem to make a difference

hi all
hope this is not stupid, but after a few months vaping i dont seem to be experiencing the nice taste / flavour from my juices anymore
i started with a CE4 kit and then got an itaste v3.0 with i16 clearomizers, since then i also got a vivi nova and an evod bcc
i remember when i first tried ry4 i thought omg this taste great, but now i dont seem to taste much at all
i do rotate with different flavours, some tobacco, some sweet, some menthol/mint
anyone else experience this or any reason why ?
since giving up stinkies and starting vaping, i do find that i pretty much have a vapour in my hand most all day ( i can vape places where i couldnt smoke before ) so is it that i am vaping too much ?
i still enjoy vaping, no chance of me ever going back to stinkies, but would love to have that nice vape full of flavour experience again that i had initially

just to update, based on what was suggested and the good price i found, i have just bought a vamo
i'm pretty sure it wont be the last shiny thing to come by post :-)

i have decided that i dont like the idea of a box mod, and would really prefer a mod that takes a 18650 battery rather than a built in battery
any other options than a vamo or svd
