What is a kick

I am thinking of buying the kamry robot v from Aliexpress I hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but could someone explain to me what a kick is and is Aliexpress a safe place to shop any help is kindly appreciated

A Kick ( and it's clones ) is a little drop in module that sits on top of your battery and turns a mechanical Mod, into a variable wattage/voltage one nick777.

That's my very basic, non technical explanation . . . I'm sure you'll get better.

Don't buy the robot advertised "with kick". It's not a kick, it's a safety fuse.

Thanks for the advice so far the one advertised on fastech comes without the kick is that the better option to go for

It's the same thing without the safety fuse I presume nick777 . . . which if you use good quality, suitable batteries from reputable Vendors - shouldn't be necessary anyway.

I don't think you'll be able to ' Kick ' it though.

Am I ok using aw 18650 or should I get a protected battery

Protected batteries are not for mech mods. What you need is a safe chemistry battery such as an IMR. Protected batteries wont work at higher current draws that you need when using low resistance coils. Efests and VCT4/5s are always a good choice(personal preference). If your AW is IMR it should work great. AW sell both IMR and protected so check you have IMRs(they are basically more flexible for vaping)

I bought a genuine (as in described as "Genuine" from FT) kick to go with the fake Nemmy, but never managed to get the booger to work in it. There's definitely current flowing through it, per a voltmeter test. I'll wiggle it around a bit and do some more checking to see if I can figure out what the flip is going on.
