Goodies are in, having hard time

Hello all, following my posts from last week, alot has gone on!!

I received my 510 battery, charger and Boge cartomisers
I received my Spearmint, Menthol and Cherry Juices

I tried all 3 juices. The spearmint tastes like golden virginia and a chewing gum, true to description, not to my tastes :-[ The cherry is a dry sort of cherry, no sweetness and very subtle The menthol is all minty, no tobacco taste and no sweetness :-[ I was so hoping to like one of these. I tried to the juices with my used Halo carts and they were ok i guess.

When I received the 510 stuff I thought, ok fresh carts, different taste, I was right. The cherry was the only one I could stomach and I have that in there now, but there is no throat hit atall with it.

In addition I posted that the carts with the Halo that were tasting burned have now regained their flavour. I wish i could find out what juice they use. My OH comes in in the evening and says "what are you mixing up now!"

Just feeling a little discouraged, sorry for the rant and sorry to post and run as I have to go to work now

Got a bit more information on all the stuff that you brought? what battery, ohm of the cartomisers, strength of the liquid?

Don't get discouraged though i'm sure we've all been through similar things

don't be discouraged Mrs M - not only is taste subjective it will also change when you are off the analogs for a while so you could end up not liking juices one day and loving them the next - i usually find with some of mine that i hate them at the start of the cart and love them at the end as your body changes the flavour slightly as you continue to vape it VH is right though more info would be good

Thanks guys. Vapourhut, the battery I got was a standard 510 180amh battery as I am just trying it out as not sure I will like the bigger riva for example. The carts are the Boge standard resistance for 510 2.8-3.2ohms. Liquids are all in medium strength as that is the strength that my Halo carts are in and when I tried the higher strength I couldnt keep it down.

Sounds like you have dry spots in the cartomisers.
The trick with them is getting them filled properly,
the wadding should look wet to the eye, and give the
juice a while to soak through and the nasty burnt taste
should go away.

Stick with it, don't get disheartened.

There is a learning curve with ecigs, getting the knack doesn't come overnight . . . it certainly didn't for me!

You'll probably find that your taste buds will be a bit random, until they settle down from the effects of cigarettes . . . one day something can taste fab, the next like stewed socks.

As Dom says, getting the first fill right on a Cartomiser makes or breaks the experience . . . it's safer to overfill until you get a better feel for them, as you can always blow the excess through . . . plus leaving the juice to sink in for say 30mins is also worth doing.

Thank you all for your help, one again lol I am going to keep trying, that is the video tutorial that I used step by step lol I've also gone and lost one of my Halo's so am down to one!

Thank goodness you got the 510 battery & charger MrsM seeing as you have lost one of your Halo's.

It might be an idea if you buy a few more small bottles of juice to see if you can find one you really like.
