Hot Cloupor dna30

Hi guys,out of the blue my dna30 has decided to get very hot.. not when being used but just when you have a atty, any atty screwed on..take the atty off and its ok,board seems fine,does all the functions so i am guessing the prob could be with the 510 connection.

If it works okay, it can be the 510 connector. Is it giving you a correct resistance reading?

Yes it was Robbo, just heated up the atty and you could see battery indicator dropping

Sounds lik a short, can you adjust the pin on the bottom of your atty or can you try another atty that the pin sticks out a little more on it.

Tried 4 diff attys ..same result..gets hot as hell..no atty on = no probs.

Thinking about it why would the atty get hot when the fire button is not pressed, is there a constant positive feed to the 510 or could this be a switch issue

IIRC there was this issue with the early ones have a look through the ecf thread

First post concerning issues: Hana Modz Clone, first release. Device auto-fires without human intervention. Device changes wattage setting each time it comes out of sleep mode. Device display lights up without human intervention while in sleep mode. Device can be set to lock the wattage but is unlocked each time it comes out of sleep mode. Device has over sized center pin in the atty connector. The ohm's readout displays incorrect reading. It reads .3 ohm's below actual.

Yes i read that VB, ah well chuck it in a drawer and forget it me thinks.. nearly 6 months use and £58, still cheaper than the oily rags the joy of clones eh.
