I bought some wool balls and thought I'd boil them first(read about it somewhere). My question is how the #$%! do you dry them out, they have been sitting here now for three days and still dripping wet!!,can I put them in the tumble dryer?, tried them on the washing line.

Gotta say I've never actually boiled cotton and I've been using it for about 10 months straight. Try and get the organic, unbleached stuff and there really is no need to boil it. I certainly wouldn't want to put it in a tumble dryer! Just imagine the amount of lint particles and similar in your table dryer which you will then be putting directly onto the cotton which is then going to be in contact with your coil.. Someone might be able to make a suggestion on how to dry it but I would suggest not boiling it If you can

Just a random thought... I don't buy organic. I don't buy unbleached. I just buy cotton balls and never had a prob. Been using them quite a while If you're desperate to dry them - suggest pliers (to hold them) and a hair dryer. Hair dryers work on dyson filters (on low setting)

You could try squishing them between some towels to absorb the water . . . although if that didn't work I'd probably bin them and start again with some unbleached/organic cottonwool.

As long as they are unbleached, regardless of your views on organic, Japanese etc etc You certainly don't want to be vaping stuff that's been bleached.

I don't bother washing mine, I bought a pack of 100% organic non bleached, however I cant see a problem with using just off the shelf baby ones.

Should be fine If you would like I can send you a couple of pads of the Japanese organic stuff? Got something like 10pads for 99p from the vape-mesh company. Won't be able to get them posted till end of the week though but the offer is there! I find they wick totally different and a big improvement on taste.

Now that the cooler weather is approaching what about sticking the cotton on a warm radiator wil7985 (if you have one that is) Personally I don't bother boiling mine, I use Wilkinson's own organic cotton balls and find they don't taste funny so I use them straight out the bag

I have a bag from Superdrug, and use them straight from the bag. I reckon I've used about 8 balls in the 8 months I've been using microcoils, so I have a fair way to go before I run out and need to buy some more!

I boil them, pour them all in to seive, rinse them through, squeeze them in the seive with my hand to get most of the water out & leave them dry on paper towels on the window sill. I did the same with some neatly squared japanese cotton pads, now they look a right mess. Wishing now that I hadn't bothered

Problem solved, the mrs put them in the tumble dryer, with one of those nice smelly sheet things. bless her she thought it would make them smell nice, so straight out of bag it is.
