Has anyone had any experience with Pressure Washers? I am looking to clean the concrete floor and the back wall of the garden as it has over the years from the previous owner got rotten with dirt and some places moss. I have read that the fuel ones work better than the electric ones (don't know if this is true)? I am (only if they do work) looking to hire one from either here or hereCan anyone who has had experience with them give some advice on what one to choose...i.e power etc etc? Unless the is a cheaper and better way i am all ears

It may be cheaper in the long run to actually buy one, then you can keep blasting it.

tracerace1 sammy13 realistically how good are they? as i have read some reports that they are only good for mild stains, the concrete i will be using it on has moss and algae stains....nothing major but i don't fancy buying something that simply does not work. Go on, persuade me

Probably will do the job no problem if you give it a soak with proprietary cleaner or the way I do it is bleachy water clears it up

A cheap marcher will be fine Super-ShinyAs long as your on mains water supply it will make short work of the algae and stains. The advantage of the fuel ones is they generally have heaters so you can blast hot water. If I remember correctly the marchers are good for 60 degrees c anyway so you can connect hot and cold supply to them hence warmer water but cold will probably be fine Worse case it just takes a little longer

Go on, persuade me The one I had wasn't a tiny one, but it wasn't an industrial type either, I can not remember the cost as it was years ago, over £100 probably, sold for households to clean cars, and patios with a bit extra oomph.
It was superb. A neighbour here has a little one for doing her car, and that would not be suitable, for your problem you do need a bigger, more power version but once you have one, you will use it on everything outside, and will be able to keep blasting the moss that will come back.
Edit to say -
If you don't like doing windows, or can't due to problems get the window vac whilst you are there, best invention ever.

Damn you lot! That's me spent my monthly vape budget! Refurbished karcher to wash the underside of my 4x4, told she who thinks she must be obeyed it was for cleaning where the dogs go toilet.......... Please don't post any more links like this unless they are for mini metal lathes, handsaws and other useful tools icon_shoppingm
Seriously, thanks for that link, you have probably saved me £100 or more.
