In the spirit of bah humbug - I had this greeting: There were probably many, many times this year when I may have... Disturbed You, Troubled You, Pestered You, Irritated You, Bugged You, Or got on your Nerves!! So today I just wanted to tell you: Suck it up, Cupcake!! Cause there AIN'T NO CHANGES Planned for 2012 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

That's Boxing day over now too, Christmas gone for another year. The Easter eggs will be in the shops tomorrow

Over here, it's Valentine's Day that's next, Anne. The boxes of chocolates are probably already on display.

I've only just eaten my Christmas dinner, couldn't be bothered with it on Christmas day so had a tin of Thai chicken curry with rice noodles and some frozen veg. That's how bah-humbug I was >

The holidays don't excite me anymore, Scyl. As for New Year's, all it means to me is that I change the month on my calendar.

I'm wondering whether to make a resolution this year, just looking down at me belly and thinking I may have some ice-cream and toffee sauce now

Can't believe this thread's still going! Lol. I forgot Valentine's day. ♥ Plenty of boxes of chocolates at reduced prices in the supermarkets (grocery stores for Jerry) at the moment! New Year is a half empty glass for me. What the hell is going to go wrong this year? is the question I ask myself just after midnight. I used to say 'There's no way this New Year can be as bad as the last one.' I was always sort of right, it was worse, so I stopped saying that in the early 1990's. At least this year kept me in suspense until near the end, losing my job, then the more recent events. But there's always good things that happen too, like finding this forum again after packing up smoking. There's so many lovely members in here, caring, helpful and unbelievably generous.

Anne, they are called 'supermarkets' here too. I just have the habit of using the old term of 'grocery stores'. Things will be better for you next year.

Your not the only one who is surprised by this thread still going , although it has been hijacked somewhat . I won't be rushing the new year in with any gusto with the predicted weather , I have 2 weeks or more to spend working in Scotland where they seem to be having the worst of it again .
