I better state right at the beginning I have not got a clue about this but I have just purchased a Gold DIY Mixing Kit from the Alchemists Cupboard. The two concentrates I picked were Vanilla Custard and Cinnamon Danish. Do I need to purchase anything else to get started or am I ready to go once my kit arrives. I know I will probably need other additives but thought if I purchase a kit I can add to it one I get advice from people that know what they are talking about. So it is over to you.

macmagoo Just checked that kit out & the only thing i can think of is labels to stick on the bottles but you can buy those cheap from Home Bargains if you have one near you & maybe a couple of measuring cups, if you go into your local chemist & ask they will give you a couple of those for measuring medicine free it is sometimes easier to draw the liquid up the syringe from those. You won't need the needles as its difficult to draw the VG up the needle. Its best to either sellotape over the numbers on the syringes or cover with clear nail varnish as the numbers rub off with the PG/VG. When you need more PG/VG its cheaper to buy Glycerine (VG) from Boots £1.30 ish in the cough medicine isle & i buy PG from Classikool on Ebay its approx £6 for 500ml. Final thought if you are making custard will you need French Vanilla? check the recipe out & if you do i have some you can have that i won't use just pm me your address & i'll put it in the post for you.

Get mixing macmagoo, it's great fun, nowhere as difficult as you probably think fight now, and immensely satisfying when you vape your own juice at a fraction of the cost of buying same from a vendor. Sure, there are start-up costs, but in a couple of months these will be a matter of pence per 10ml of tasty juice that you mix yourself, knowing exactly what bases you have and what other ingredients. Just a thought, but with a Custard recipe you won't be able to try it for at least a month, and better two. Try some of the one-shot concentrates that Tom suggests, they will be ready in a few days! Let us know how you get on

I am just waiting on my kit to arrive and I bought a few more concentrates today. Once every thing arrives I should have the following ingredients. Vanilla Custard, Cinnamon Danish, Banana, Green Apple, Dulce De Leche (TPA), Brown Suger (TPA) and French Vanilla Deluxe which has been sent to me by dinamic22. One of the mixes I am going to try is Nessies Nectar (Custard) and I like the thought of Apple & Cinnamon so hope the two I have will go well together. All the concentrates are Cappella.

Apple Cinnamon Danish should be a nice combination macmagoo . . . as a ' standalone ' I mix CD at 20%. In a combined recipe I'd knock that back to 12-15% and try your Apple at around 7%, depending on how subtle/strong you'd like the Apple flavour to come through. Cinnamon Danish does also take a little time to steep, to be at it's nicest . . . so be prepared for a little wait, 3-4 weeks I'd suggest.

Got some more concentrates so I am now ready to go. Today I got Falvour Art Strawberry, Mandarin, Jamaica Rhum, Lime and Apple Pie. Any suggested recipes for these would be most welcome because I am going to have a go tonight when I get home from work.
