WOW. interesting. Then again I just tossed a 65ah Yuasa UPS battery I used for my radio shack power supply. I got it from the coast guard in 2004 and it was past it's date then (hence they gave away) so it lasted about 15 years. TBH it still charged and held a charge but not for that long and not enough to run 100w (pulling 20 AMps form the poor thing)
Back to my power supply which sounds like a jet fighter at afterburner.

That made me laugh. My local garage fitted a Yuasa battery to my car when a replacement was needed, telling me they done me a favour because of cheap price, i'd told them to fit best battery available. It's 2 years old now, car is huge with lots of electrics and stands for 2-3 weeks at a time unused (i have knockabout for everyday), yet it starts first time after 3 weeks non-use, have to accept any longer and its flat. So do Yuasa do 18650's ??? lol

Saw that on the tv yesterday about these batteries. I was also wondering if they'd do them in the 18650's etc. They were talking about mobile phone ones mainly but said something about all types of batteries in the future.

I know, problem is I always think taking it out for run next wednesday then something crops up, annoys me that car manufacturers do not consider this when giving bells and whistles, they are nice but at end of day I want car that starts after i ignored it for a few weeks, my little knockabout never fails, i suppose because the central locking dont work, the window winders are unpredictable and it's whole electric package adds up to an interior light lol. I'd never buy a hybrid car, can you imagine when the batteries on them play up ??? MP
